THIS IS METAL! Now the old Escutcheon was some kind of steel but it wasn't chromed. I don't know what finish it was in 1983. So it looked really gross, deposits and minerals, just bad. I wanted that same look again but when I discovered a CHROME finish from this seller, I exploded with joy. I replaced it with this one and it looks so luxurious. It shines like a DIAMOND in that shower now. Fit like a glove. Just look at my photos. The thing is so bright I had to get a new diverter spout and a new shower head because I just loved throwing it on. I can also confirm it comes with both seals. It cleans with a wipe of a towel.
