Ebow EBow Plus - Modern Vibrato/Sustain Guitar Effect Device - Black

This thing is cool! I bought it specifically for playing the song Under The Milky Way by The Church. The live video version shows the guitarist using one and I said "I gotta have that!" My friends were impressed with it, too. Just another tool in the toolbox, but a nice tool it is!

This is a unit that causes a sustained vibration on a guitar string, making for a note sustained for as long as you wish. It easily produces harmonics and has a setting that makes harmonic production easy. Most importantly, the Ebow guides you to getting lost in your music, taking you places you didn't know you'd wanted to go. I haven't tried this newer version on an acoustic guitar yet, but the version from the early 1990s wasn't really up to the task, but this "plus" version is amazing with an electric. Add in your delay and reverb (and chorus if you like) and you will be building soundscapes in no time. The first time I'd played with it, not loudly and at night, my wife got up from bed to tell me how much she'd liked what I was playing, and that was without knowing how to really play with it. It is sometimes like amp feedback but without the volume. Highly recommended!

Useful tool for guitar players. Sounds cool and can produce some neat tones/effects but has a bit of a learning curve to unlock its full potential.

Made super cheap. Unacceptably cheap in my view. Seem to be no improvements at all in this in the last few decades. Inconsistent results. Sorry. I wanted to leave a stellar review.
