Dremel 407 Sanding Band & Mandrel Accessory Set, 13 mm (Grit 60) Sanding Band and Mandrel for Sanding, Shaping and Smoothing Wood and Plastic Materials

I recently bought these replacement Dremel sanding belts after having used up the original 3 that came with my original Dremel purchased about 6 years ago.Admittedly, the originals were only used now and again over the 6 years, along with other attachments for different, intricate DIY tasks, but I have been a little surprised at with the longevity of the new ones.Despite the same sort of use on the same sort of tasks (sanding/shaping small wood parts, Perspex and other finishing touches), these are not lasting so well.The outer edges are already wearing out, so much so that the material behind the sandy surface is fraying and splitting after only a few weeks.It is disappointing to see that when comparing the belts next to the original 6years old ones, they are simply inferior in their quality.I don’t know if there is anything that can be done about this as they are the current original Dremel accessory - perhaps I shall try a 3rd party accessory next time to see if they are actually better made. A slippery slope...

Really good for linishing metal i needed to grind back some steel from my door frame to make a new lock fit.. The grit as you can imagine doesnt last that long on metal but still very impressed for how they held up, unles the cheaper ones you can buy these dont just explode when they are reaching the low end of their life they just dont abrade the surface anymore.Make sure you have the correct dremel holder for this size band!Endurance 5/5 starts - Totally exceeded expectations after going through a lot of the cheap ones on mild steel

It says on the pack, "Made in USA". Good to know not everything nowadays is made in Asia. These are manufactured in Des Moines, Iowa or Snakey Rock, Illinois. Or somewhere else -- use your imagination, ok?Just replacement 13mm 120s for your sexxeh Dremel Stylo or plain 3000.

The reason I’ve rated this so low is because you cannot get the sanding band off to replace for love or money! So it’s only good until it needs replacing which is not good!

Unfortunately these don't like getting wet, the cardboard comes unglued. I've used other cheaper ones which fared better.

What happened Dremel? I've been using these for years and years, the last batch I bought something had changed, they don't last as long and get gummed up more easily.

Fit for purpose.
