I Didn't Let My Induction Stovetop Stop Me!
I drink a lot of coffee. I make it every morning and drink several cups. Wanting to get away from plastic components in all drip coffee makers, I decided to see if I would like the dreaded percolator (which most coffee fanatics just hate with the passion.) I fondly remember that delicious, vintage perking sound in the morning from my parent's stovetop percolator and decided perhaps it's time for a comeback. I really dreaded having to figure out the right timing, the right amount of coffee, etc., since I never used one, but I bravely forged ahead. Guess what? It's not that difficult and the coffee is wonderful and very hot, unlike most drip makers. I drink my coffee black and hate weak tasting or bitter tasting or cold coffee. This percolator pleasantly surprised me. It's all metal and glass with a wood handle. I would like the lid to be a bit more substantial and stay closed so one doesn't have to hold it down while pouring, however, it does the job. I have an induction cooktop on my stove and didn't want to fuss with making sure the bottom would work, so I purchased an inexpensive electric burner. This setup works great and in a way, I turned my stovetop pot into an electric one. Added plus, I can make coffee anywhere in the house I'd like to. (BTW my Bosch Induction Stove didn't want to cooperate with this percolator.) Why didn't I just buy an electric percolator to begin with? I wanted more control over the heat and the timing since I am a bit picky about coffee taste. HINT #1: Buy yourself extra glass globes. Immediately. My pot fell on the floor the 2nd day I owned it in my haste to get my coffee grounds ready. Yes, I was excited to use it. Thankfully Amazon/Coletti sell them separately and they arrive quick! I bought 4 of them. HINT #2: It speeds things up A LOT if you boil your water in a tea kettle on your stove, especially if you have a boost mode on your induction stovetop. Either boil it or get it very hot & then pour into the percolator. The perking starts very quickly and you can get to your luscious coffee sooner. I haven't noticed any difference in taste doing it this way. I'm not going back to drip coffee anytime soon. I bought the 9 cup (5 cup in American speak) but I just might be buying a larger unit to have handy when my coffee-drinking friends/relatives come over.

Great cup of rich delicious hot coffee!!!
I recently purchased the Colette Bozeman stovetop percolator, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s incredibly easy to use, even if you’re new to percolators, and it makes a rich, delicious cup of coffee every time. One of the things I appreciate most is that there are no aluminum or plastic parts, which gives me peace of mind about what I’m brewing my coffee in. The quality feels solid and well-made. Cleanup is just as simple as brewing—everything comes apart easily and rinses clean without any hassle. If you’re looking for a straightforward, reliable way to make great coffee on the stovetop, this percolator is definitely worth it. Regards, Nita

Coffee pot handle
I like the simplicity of using a percolator. I was using a Pyrex glass percolator that I had acquired when I bought a property years ago. Not many exist anymore as they are almost entirely glass & date from the 1950-s to early 60's. It worked great & was mesmerizing to see it in action, as the glass allowed one to view the percolating action of the bubbles forming & going up through the glass percolating tube. Unfortunately one day I heard a loud "pop" as I was making coffee & discovered that the base of the percolating tube had shattered for some reason. I bought this model to replace it. It's very well made, despite being manufactured in China; wish it was made in America! One reviewer incorrectly stated that it's made in Montana. Yes, Bozeman & Butte are towns in Montana that Coletti named their models after; but it says right on the box that it's made in China. The entire coffee pot is stainless steel; other than the replaceable glass screw in top & the two wooden parts of the handle. The percolating tube, basket, etc. is stainless; unlike some other brands that are made of aluminum or plastic. I'm a welder & master craftsman & I have large hands. When I first got this, I felt that they should have made the handle larger, because unless I used the skills honed & perfected from playing the game "Operation" as a kid, my hand would touch the top or bottom parts of the metal handle. And the two wooden scales attached to the metal handle are even with the metal edges of the handle, rather than being larger & wider than the metal. "Why did they make the handle so thin, & the handle opening so small?" I would've made it with a larger opening, & thicker handle to make it easier & safer to grasp. So the first time that I used it, I picked it up with an oven mitt, but that made it even more difficult to get my hand on the handle properly. So the next time I lightly touched the handle, including metal parts of it, to "test" the temperature of it. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the entire handle portion of the coffee pot only gets warm; the wooden scales & the metal band of the handle do NOT get hot at all! So fear not; you can pick up the coffee pot without using an oven mitt or pot holder. Overall, it's decent quality & brews very well & quite fast; only takes a few minutes to brew perfect cups of coffee!

Good little coffee pot
It’s a good little coffee pot. Seems well built and makes a good cup of coffee, although my experience is that it does take 20-30 minutes, so if time is of the essence this probably is not your ideal choice. I like this coffee pot for brewing at home or out camping, but I do have 2 minor gripes about it. First is that it is advertised as a 6 cup pot of coffee. However, if you follow the instructions which say not to fill past the pour spout holes, it’s really only a 4 cup pot. If you fill all the way to the 6 cup line it definitely goes past the holes and the water touches the bottom of the coffee basket which doesn’t really work. Second is that while the wood scales help to make the handle not way hot when you try to pour a cup, the brass pins holding the scales in place still get hot. I have been getting around this by wrapping a bandana around the handle before brewing.

Love it!
*Edited update after weeks of use added at the end of review* Original review: While I've had camping percolators before, none have been large enough to make a 4cup pot of coffee. (*This one says 6cups on the side measurement but the instructions advise making no more than what reaches the spout (@4cups). This is ok since I'm accustomed to my automatic drip coffee machine 4cup model.) First, it advises in the instructions that for best results brew on low heat. Using a glass top stove, it took over twenty minutes for the (ice cold) water to start hitting the peek-a-boo glass knob at the top. From that point, wait approximately 10 minutes, which is consistent with research into professional brewing practices. So I made it to about 8 minutes of brewing before I lost focus and brewed it too long. It was the change in the smell that alerted me. That first pot tasted exactly like what instant coffee tastes like. While not unpleasant it's not what I was going for. However I believe with a kitchen timer and boiled water straight from my fancy electric kettle I can tweak my 30+ minute experience down to roughly half that max, with better tasting results. This kind of coffee maker percolator depends heavily on user interaction for best results. Have a little patience with learning curves. Handling the pot was pleasant, I've missed my old percolator. Had no trouble with setting it up, but this is a different set of steps than a machine takes. It's my hopes that I can retire my little electric coffee maker and switch entirely over to this one as I've been eliminating sources of toxins from our environment. Research led me to this product. It's low-tech and non-toxic, highly attractive qualities. The company has a great story and mission, definitely worth doing business with. Highly recommend! Update: Yes, once I got the brew right I can confirm it makes perfect coffee, DELICIOUS! Forgot to mention we filter our water (Zero) and refrigerate it, so it starts out very cold. Discovered that it's ok to *ignore* the disparity between the graphics on the instructions and the actual pot regarding the recommended fill line. I've tried this at max level 6 cups full and it performed fine. However the (Cosori) kettle measurements and the percolator measurements disagree, 5 cups in the kettle fill the 6cup line of the Coletti. Using the kettle to pre-boil water cut production time significantly (Cosori kettle), via pouring the hot water into the Coletti percolator pot before installing the interior assembly -with coffee grounds already in basket and placing on a ready hot burner to kickstart the percolating process. ***Please be advised, DON'T use water from a sink's hot water tap to drink.*** DON'T place an empty pot on a hot burner. Have also tried pre-boiling water in a regular steel stock pot (Cuisinart) to compare options, and it's a little slower but works fine. This might seem like too many extra steps, but be assured that the percolator pot can boil the water no problem. Just clarifying, it's because of the near freezing temperature of our filtered water that I have worked out this method that best suits our needs. To respect the recommended care of the percolator, which limits use at low-medium temps (perhaps due to the thickness of the steel as well as the best brewing practices might dictate), and because I'm accustomed to boiling water quite often for beverages, it's not any trouble for us really to incorporate an extra step if it saves a bit of time.

Best tasting coffee / great product.
I originally bought this percolator for our camper, but now we use it all the time. It is great for travel and just the right size for one or two people. I've used it everyday for about 2 months without any issues. The percolator glass knob on top of the lid only needs to be loosely tightened. As soon as I felt it stop while screwing it in, I stopped. It does not leak even with no tension. Great product. This is the only way I want to drink coffee. You can buy coffee filters to minimize coffee grounds in your drink. Get small brushes like you use to clean reusable straws. They work great for cleaning the center stem and coffee basket tube.

Perk Better Tasting Coffee Without Toxic Exposure.
Coffee pot without micro plastic or aluminum and perks the best coffee ever. Sits proudly on my stove. Far better than my drip coffee pot at less than a 1/4 of the price I'd paid. Coffee stays hot and strength is adjustable by perk time.

Makes strong, flavorful coffee.Attractive stainless-steel design. Easy to use and clean.
COLETTI Bozeman Percolator Coffee Pot (9-Cup) Review I purchased the COLETTI Bozeman Percolator Coffee Pot because I wanted a coffee pot with no plastic or aluminum touching my coffee. The coffee it brews is rich, hot, and flavorful, and I appreciate the classic percolator design. However, I do have a concern. The top lid feels very flimsy compared to the rest of the pot. While the body appears sturdy, the lid doesn't seem as durable and makes me wonder how well it will hold up with regular use. One of the main reasons I bought this coffee pot was the company's claim that it is made from 18/8 food-grade stainless steel with no aluminum or plastic in the brewing components. According to COLETTI, all coffee-contact parts are stainless steel. That was a big selling point for me, and I hope the product truly lives up to those specifications over the long term. So far, the coffee quality is good, but durability remains to be seen. I'm especially watching how the lid and hinge hold up over time. If those parts prove durable, this could be an excellent coffee pot for daily use. Independent testing by Food & Wine also praised the Bozeman's all-stainless construction but noted that some parts, including the hinge and handle design, may be potential wear points. My overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars. Pros: No plastic or aluminum in the brewing path, according to the manufacturer. Makes strong, flavorful coffee. Attractive stainless-steel design. Easy to use and clean. Cons: Lid feels flimsy. Long-term durability is still questionable. Price is a little high if the lighter components don't hold up. Final Thoughts: I like the coffee this percolator makes and appreciate the stainless-steel construction. My biggest concern is the lightweight lid, which doesn't inspire confidence. I'm hoping it proves more durable than it feels because, aside from that issue, the pot has a lot of potential. Time will tell how well it stands up to everyday use. ☕️🙏

Super Kaffeekanne - klare Empfehlung
