Hozelock Superhoze 30m

Previously using a standard Hozelock reeled Hoze which drove me mad with kinking and faff of winding/unwinding. That coupled with the lack of an outside tap meant we have to use a mixer tap adapter (also Hozelock and very good) and either run it from downstairs toilet or from kitchen sink and out the window which was a bit of a nightmare with the old Hoze as it was cumbersome and I was always worried about it leaking. With this new Hoze it's miles easier. Plug and spray, easy to store and great for getting to all areas of the Garden (water supply is only at front of the house). It feels well built, looks the part and easily folds back into the packaging tub for compact storage. Only negative is that it doesn't come with instructions and you have to visit the hozelock website to d/l a PDF which has some pretty key after care instructions to ensure it stays in good condition ***Edit - Just realised that the instructions are printed on the inside of the sleeve that covers the tub it comes in. It's just not very obvious*** Overall it's a great piece of kit and so long as it doesn't burst like some of the other reviews have recounted, I'd happily recommend to anyone.

After purchasing four unbranded telescopic hoses, I found that they were far more convenient than rigid hoses but each had a substandard central core hose. Cheap manufacture where it can't be seen. Each failed in turn when the inner hose split in several places. One lasted only a week. So I decided not to penny pinch and go for a good brand, Hozelock. This at close examination and upon use has proved far superior in both design and materials used. You can change end attachments without turning off the water supply. The joints do not leak. Storage is so easy. It is not recommended to use this type of hose with a pressure washer because the suction can cause the inner hose to collapse but provided that you have mains pressure rather than a gravity fed supply, the inner tube on the Hozelock is rigid enough that I have had no problems. I have had Hozelock products before and found them to outlast other makes but you do pay a price premium which to my cost I have found to be worthwhile.

This is the fourth of this type of hose in a few weeks. I had the Xhose for a couple of years, and that broke. I then decided to buy a cheaper version and that did not last six days. (money returned) I went back to a Xhose again at over £50 and that leaked from the tap end straight away. Returned the next day for a refund. I decided to try once again with this well known make, and so far over a few weeks and used daily it is doing a superb job. Hopefully it will stay that way for some time to come.

I so wanted this to work well and for the reviews re leaking / swelling ends to be a handful of production quality issues, especially at the premium over the cost of a regular hose pipe. The design has obviously been revised with a tightly crimped section approximately 50cm in at each end presumably there to prevent water leaking between the inner and outer sections of the hose from the connectors but even with careful handling and usage draining every time, and storing carefully in it's box in the shed over winter our example has already got issues, if used one way around the hose has an internal issue that restricts the flow of water close to one end. Thankfully turning the hose around has solved the issue but we shall be looking into making use of the Hozelock warranty. In summary if it just worked it would be fab but sadly I am being to wonder if the issues some see are a feature of the design and / or build quality and not just bad luck. Edit: June 2018. Alas my Superhoze is now deceased, I noticed the outer was showing signs of fraying at the start of the week which is mad considering it has been treated with kid gloves, I can only imagine that crossing the patio and paths is too much for the outer cover and it should only perhaps be used with a garden tap immediately next to a lawn? Anyway the fraying developed into a leak / fountain effect whilst watering which developed into what can only be described as a catastrophic failure along a large length of the hose when I released the trigger on the sprayer, what appears to be the elastic cords used to contain the inner and to draw the hose back down to it's shortest length when not filled with water failed. I am about to test my 3 year extended Hozelock warranty but if this is what it does after one year of careful use then I think I'd prefer a replacement generic Hozelock hose than a replacement Superhoze assuming the 2018 examples are identical in manufacture. Pity as it is such a great idea but perhaps the materials chosen for the required price point let it down? (Reduced my rating from 3 to 1 star.)

We have several of these hosepipes. They're extremely lightweight, never kink and easy to use. We have used this 30 meter Superhoze for approximately 6 weeks when it suddenly exploded with the noise of a gun! At 3 pm yesterday I contacted Amazon customer services. A very nice/helpful/ sympathetic lady called Anuradha dealt with my complaint. I was offered a refund or replacement. I received the replacement this morning! Great customer service from Amazon. Thank you. We have had no issues with any other Hozelock hosepipes.

I love these expanding hoses, but having now purchased around 4 of them, and treated them all carefully, they only last me about one and a half seasons. They all fail in the same way. There you are enjoying watering your garden, when you notice a little fountain coming out of your hose, very quickly the fountain gets bigger and bigger, untill you’re losing all your water. I’ve tried fixing them, but it’s practically impossible. More drastically, the inner tube just bubbles out of the yellow hose jacket and simply explodes. Harmlessly I have to add! So great product, but don’t expect more than two seasons and you won’t be dissapointed.

When I was researching flexi-hoses, reviews seemed to be at one extreme or the other, with the negative reviews all raising the same concern that the hose soon ruptured. I ordered a long hose (30m) and, with this in mind, I have been as careful as I can when using it and I try to avoid dragging it over any rough area such as step edges etc. I wanted to wait a while before posting a review so that I got a good number of hosing sessions under my belt first. Bottom line – I think it’s great! I have had no problems with any ruptures and the hose extends easily to full length when the water is turned on, and similarly shrinks again when the water is off and the hose is emptied (I get about 30 seconds of watering until the hose is empty). My hose came in a tub with a carrying handle so, after use, I simply coil it back into the tub ready for next time. I deliberately picked a Hozelock hose so all of my hose attachments can still be used. One point of note – I have a 3m length of ordinary hose attached to my garden tap with a female Hozelock female adapter on the business end. I can use this length of hose with a nozzle for watering plants around the patio and, for the main garden watering, I attach it to my flexi-hose with a male/male Hozelock adapter since the flexi-hose itself comes with a female Hozelock adapter. Hope this tip helps.

I've already used the shorter 'Hozelock' 15 metre expandable hose for over a year for rinsing down my car after wash/waxing it, and have been so impressed that I decided to get the 30 metre length for watering my back garden too. It is more durable than appearances may lead you to believe and fits all 'Hozelock' attachments, of which I already have quite a few. As long as there is no closed valve at either end of the hose when you've finished using it the hose will retract, evacuating water left in it, quite quickly and efficiently. Storage then becomes a doddle as it reduces down to comparatively nothing, is so light that a child could carry it, and will never 'kink-up' to block water from running through it when used throughout it's life. Having had that kinking problem too many times in the past (even with hoses that were purported not to do that) I thoroughly recommend this retractable hose. What I tend to do is to connect up to a faucet (tap) with a 3 metre length of the conventional 'Hozelock' hose, just to get clear of any potential snagging points and angles near my particular faucet, then connect this expandable hose to the end of that. It works a treat for me and is so much less of a faff to use than lugging the conventional variants about. Eamonn

Déjà acheté il y a un an..Plus cher, certes, mais bien mieux que les clones chinois précédents !! Et puis bravo la garantie 5 ans.. J'ai eu un petit pépin et j'ai été remboursé sans aucune discussion !! Du coup j'ai racheté le même car je fais confiance à la qualité produit. Comme dit une amie : "Je n'ai pas les moyens d'acheter bon marché " ! !

...ob er wirklich die 30m erreicht... da bin ich mir nicht ganz sicher. Bei uns zu Hause passt er jedenfalls perfekt: ungefüllt ca 10m lang - das reicht von der Wasserquelle bis zur Terrasse. Gefüllt wird er gut 25m lang - das reicht für unseren kleinen Stadtgarten vollkommen aus. Ein großes Plus ist außerdem, das sich der Schlauch wirklich klein zusammenlegen lässt und sich (fast) nicht vertüdelt...

Dopo poco tempo di utilizzo aveva già riscontrato dei problemi stando molto attenta a non tirarla o a prenderci dentro sugli spigoli. Dando acqua si rigonfiava in alcuni punti e impediva la fuoriuscita dalla doccia, solo insistendo nel far ricongiungere i vari elementi che la compongono dentro la stoffa qualche volta avevo esito positivo. Da tempo sono senza in quanto èdefinitivamente esplosa. Ne sconsiglio l’acquisto

Garanti 3 ans (!), ce tuyau HOZELOCK perpétue l'excellence de la marque. Impeccable pour un balcon, garage ou de petits jardins (etc.) pour qui ne veut pas s'encombrer d'un tuyau rigide. Les accessoires Hozelock s'adaptent évidemment parfaitement. Attention, un tuyau extensible n'aura jamais la durabilité d'un tuyau Hozelock classique et il faut bien veiller à ne pas le mettre trop longtemps en surpression car ce type de tuyau d'appoint n'a pas la résistance d'un vrai.

J'ai acheté ce produit en juin 2017 car c'est le seul tuyau d'arrosage de ce type bénéficiant d'une garantie de 2 ans extensible à 3 années (enregistrement de la garantie sur le site Hozelock). A l'utilisation, ce produit tient ses promesses. Après une utilisation de juin à septembre 2017, le tuyau a été rangé à l'abri du gel jusqu'à mi-avril 2018. A la mise en route, j'ai constaté que le tuyau est percé sous la gaine en tissu et donc inutilisable. Sa durée de vie n'est donc pas plus longue que celle d'autres tuyaux vendus à bas prix, que je n'ai pas achetés en raison des avis très négatifs. J'ai fait une demande de prise en charge sous garantie sur le site Hozelock. Pour le moment, je n'ai pas de réponse. Je complèterai mon commentaire d'ici quelques temps, en fonction de la réponse de Hozelock. --------- Suite : Etant donné qu'il s'agissait d'une vente Amazon, j'ai demandé la prise en compte de la garantie à Amazon. Je tiens à souligner la super réactivité d'Amazon qui, le jour même, répond à ma demande et me confirme l'expédition d'un nouveau tuyau en remplacement de celui défectueux. 5 étoiles pour le Service Client Amazon *****
