I am writing this review having just started using these with my ten year old. I can’t speak to longevity, I’ll update later but based on other reviews I’ll be hand washing them to prolong their lifespan. Right off the bat I can say that they fit albeit on the snug side. We decided right away to turn them inside out because the seams were annoying but that worked for us. On to function. These were purchased to help my child remember not to suck and to prevent them from gaining suction if they did try in their sleep. My child usually only sucks their thumb when they can’t control it and these thumb guards work great for that! First night worn we had a night with no thumb sucking! These can be removed easily by my child which is good because I don’t want them worn in the bathroom but definitely these are not meant to keep a child from their thumb against their will. Scratch sleeves are better for that. Overall a good, cheap tool to support my kid in their transition to not sucking their thumb.

Poor seams. The idea was good and helpful but fell apart easily and when washed.

The is a great product! My son has sucked his thumb from a newborn until I got these shields when he was seven. I made him wear this thumb shield every day and night for 2 weeks. He hasn’t sucked it since.

These are definitely helping my 7 year old remember not to suck his thumbs, but the seams came apart. Luckily I know how to sew, so it was an easy fix, just slightly annoying. I did buy a second set so we have more so he can wear them and we can wash them more often. They are nice because they don't really get in his way of being able to do everyday things - he wears them to school - but they are still there to remind him not to suck his thumbs.

If your kiddo is older or a bigger kid, not the right one for you. The wrist opening is TINY! and after one night of wearing is already splitting down the seam.

My son used to suck his thumb all the time especially at night. This product helped with sopping the sucking at night. I would definitely recommend this product.

Bought these for my daughter to kick the habit she’s had since a teeny tot. Although this guard is essentially a glove with the fingers cut out and only covering the thumb, my daughter tried to use and she did not prefer it. However, it was very well crafted, came with two of them. Able to toss in the wash if dirty. The colors were vibrate and bright.

Die Handschuhe sind für Daumenlutscher sehr zu empfehlen. Nach eine Woche hat das Saugbedürfnis schon sehr stark abgenommen, da nur der Daumen versteckt ist. Sonstige Spiele Arbeit oder Schreiben werden nicht beeinträchtigt. textil ist auch Hautschonend. Ich habe viel Hoffnung für die kommende Zeit.
