Easy to use-- open lid and fill with water. Unwrap wire to hang. Done. Smell is not as detectable as other brands - so you can keep the trap closer to where you are sitting. Clearly works really well. The jar is wrapped with a plastic wrap - I removeded off one bottle thinking it may be more asthetic without the advertising wrapper. Not the case- jar is clear and all you see is mucky yellow water with dead flies floating- leave the wrapper on. Like the fact this jar is reusable and higher quality plastic.

These work great . We had a bunch of black house flys in our yard in Florida and within 10 minutes they had a dozen or more in the traps . In fact it took a day to make it normal again. Don’t put them out where you sit . We have a carport and I put them on the side of the house and put back . They smell like fish after a few days but they had hundreds in them.

These work. Without a doubt, they collect flies. The problem is, maybe I didn't read the fine print, they smell like 27 day old roadkill. The kind that's puffed up. Or possibly a trash dumpster on a hot summer day. And the smell travels. One slight breeze in the air and you are hit with it. I guess what I'm saying is if you are without a sense of smell, these will work. If you are trying to get rid of flies in an area you won't be in, these will work. If you want people as well as the flies to stay away, these will work.

This product does not work. The flies cannot get into it. I have another and of similar traps that has caught many flies. These sick, I even tried switch out the nate but it doesn't help. Unfortunately I opened all 3 of them so I cannot return them

I gave this 4 stars because it works when used correctly. But I just can’t. The smell is putrid. It is full of wiggling and dead flies. I can’t imagine reusing this. I put one too close to the house and it attracted more flies. The second was further away near the source of the flies - a neighbor with 3 large dogs who doesn’t scoop the poop. It smells and breeds flies. But that smell isn’t as bad as the smell that wafts over to my patio from these traps.

These fly traps are fantastic, as long as you can find a spot to hang them where they aren’t upwind from your outdoor recreation area. The stench is intentional to draw the flies and they do that very nicely, ours filled up halfway in no time flat. Will purchase again next spring.

I live at a home in a city and my garbage has to be outside in the summer, plus I have a small backyard. This causes fly issues and I purchased these to help keep them away from me while I am enjoying my backyard space. I have purchased at least 6 of them and you will be amazed at how many flies it catches, it's crazy. You may not think it's working at first, give it a couple days. I would also recommend putting them away from any areas where you could smell it, the smell of the device is strong, but that's the whole point. I will continue to buy this product. Thanks!
