Excellent shave cream! Nothing matches the old Gillette Menthol that was stupidly discontinued, but this comes darn close. Great smell and small amount produces a great lather with a shave brush. Definitely subscribing!

Very fast and safe delivery of this classic shave cream. It's as good as ever, priced well, and Amazon delivery is superb.

I use it every time I shave with my double edge safety razor. I use one finger to put a dab on each cheek and on my neck and then face lather with my shaving brush. It lathers up quite well, but if your used to canned, aerosol shave cream, you likely wont get that heavy a lather - but it's not needed. I get excellent lubrication so I don't nick myself. The menthol smells great and it leaves my skin in nice shape. I use Clubman Vegetal aftershave. I used to get a lot of stinging when I applied my aftershave until I switched to the Palmolive shave cream. Now, I get little or no stinging, which tells me the cream is doing its job. (I was using a puck of shaving soap that had to be lathered in a shaving bowl. I had planned to order some other shave creams until I found one I really liked, but after using this shaving cream, I'll re-order it and won't bother to look for anything better. P. S. I highly recommend face lathering over using a shaving bowl because while you're building your lather, you're also preparing your face. When you use a shaving bowl, the time used building lather in the bowl could've been used getting your skin prepped, which you still have to do when using a bowl. If you prefer a bowl, this cream works fine. Just squeeze a dab into your shaving bowl and have at it.

Lathers quickly in a bowl. A mild, almost imperceptible scent probably due to no added scents. Menthol 3/5 kicks in as you're applying. Slick as most tallow-based soap but light and not gummy. Rinses easily off the brush, bowl and face. Definitely try if you're a wet shaver.

For the price I have not found a product so convenient for travel, ease to apply, medium lather, ease of clean up and a smooth result. My hair grows in many directions. After a pass, I re-brush. My hair is coarse, curly and my skin is thin and sensitive. I find I can touch up areas, even with a Feather blade without burning my skin. You have to adjust the lather depending on the water you add. I find the blade glides better with the lather wetter vs. shaving cream that sits on your face - the blade has to glide not just clean off the lather. I like that this is a low lather product since I only need the blade to glide over and not screen off a huge pile of lather. This product washes off the DE razor quickly and easily. This product leaves a cooling affect like aftershave. The fragrance is pleasant, but does not last long. The result finally allows me to use a DE with great results. I find that I do not have to use a after shave cream, etc. - except when I do not pay attention to the lather before pass rule.

Attn all wet shavers, This is a good wake up kind of shave cream on your beard in the am. this works up in to- A really nice Lather with a good brush.it is pale green colored,With a not too strong, cooling Menthol feeling. I remember when I worked in a Drug store - when I was 17-years old,& we stocked both "Palmolive shave creams in the Red tube for Lather w/a brush,& the Green tube was the brushless kind". my point is: I'm a old fashioned Nastolgic Man in his mid 50's now, & it is so Sad,that a Company- Like Colgate/Palmolive, has discontinued both of these good old time products,Years ago. so we are now Forced to go on line- & find these old time toiletry product's @ Amazon .com. I mean all the stuff that was stocked on the Drug store shelfs,is a Thing of the past?? so now the Euoropean market has this covered well! I mean all the good stuff I found is made in Euorope,&India: Palmolive,Gillette,Prep,etc: what happened to made in the USA??? Very concerned Vietnam, Navy veteran. Thank You, Andrew in Indy
