Ingersoll Rand wanted hundreds of dollars for these air compressor starter capacitors. They fit perfectly and did the job at less than a third the cost of the IR pieces

I am new to DIY fixes to AC / HVAC for my Whynter ARC-14SH, my AC started clicking quite annoyingly when the condenser/compressor starts cranking at a set temperature to cool my room. While replacing the cap i didnt expect it not fit because of its diameter was 0.24 inch too large (orginal capacitor size seems to be 1.75inches in diameter), its not a show stopper for me because it was taller than my original so i relocated this new cap to an near by area where it can sit vertically and snug wth some weather strip adhesive to softly hold in its located spot with out any electrical issue. * it has been 3 days since capitor is replaced, the annoying clicking sound actually did go away.. interesting .... but too early to conclude. * the rating in uF and +/- % tolerance of this capacitor was exact match (important) * the max VAC / Volt rating is higher that of my original (which is fine, as long as it is not lower rated than my original) Summary: This will work for now, as i said earlier, im new to DIY fix for AC system, also bit unplanned on this repair as I love my ARC-14SH wanted it to last another 5years ... eventually I did found another capacitor with right dimmension and uF rating

My pool pump stopped turning on. The pool company wanted nearly two thousand dollars for the cost of a new pump and installation. After some research and testing with a multi-meter I was able to diagnose the problem on my own as being a bad capacitor. I ordered this unit, swapped it in and my pool pump was back up and running immediately. Just be sure to correctly measure the size of your original capacitor to make sure it is the right fit. The height measurement included the length of the prongs on top. Most appliances have very little space for the capacitor, so proper measurement is very important.
