Upgraded S97009796 Replacement Fan Blower Assembly for Bathroom Bulb Heaters Broan 162-E、G、J、K、L、M and 164-E、G、J、K、L、M, Replaces Part Numbers 97009796, S97009758, S97009796B

Used this to replace an original Broan bathroom vent fan that after many, many years still works but the fan had become quite noisy. Was worried that it was going to stop working. Instead of replacing the whole unit decided to just replace the fan blower assembly with this one, which appears pretty much identical. Removal of the old assembly was very easy, as was installation of this new one. Perfect fit. Surprisingly quiet and exhaust airflow seems the same. Seems well made. After some skepticism to start with I’m very happy that I took this easy and economical approach.

Super quiet, fits as a Broan 162 fan replacement as described. Very easy installation. Given what I’ve noted, it’s a better value than having to replace the entire fan/light fixture both from a cost and time perspective. So far I’m happy, but I’ll update after some time to report back on longevity.

This little fan replacement saved me a lot of trouble. I have vaulted ceilings in the adjoining rooms to the space where this unit lives and would have had to open up a lot of sheetrock to replace this entire assembly. Instead, I found this replacement blower motor and saved my self tons of time and cost. Perfect replacement and smooth operation!

This blower wheel had much more wobble than my 50 year old one. But the old motor was noisy. I needed to swap my old bracket since my old unit was made by Emerson electric. Swapped the old blower wheel that was metal and now there is no more wobble and the fan is running nice and quiet.

Perfect replacement for OEM for fraction of the price. It works great and is quiet! Highly recommend.

This was a POS. The squirrel cage fan was a quarter inch out of round. Luckily the parts were an exact match and I could take the old squirrel cage off and put it on the new one. Most people wouldn’t have the time or the patients to do that, but I didn’t wanna wait for a new one.

Bought this for my 20 year old Nutone bathroom exhaust fan/ heat lamp. I figured it was time. So I did the 5 minute swap. Perfect fit!! Had the old one on my bench for a couple weeks. Decided to clean it and oiled the shaft bearings. Just sprayed the ends with WD. Plugged it in and it’s like new. So I’m going to keep it for when this new one starts to lose effectiveness from lint buildup. I’ll just swap them out and clean it and store it for next time. This way I won’t wait so long to take it out to find the time to clean it. Literally 5 minutes is all it takes.

I’ve replaced my bathroom fan every three or four years a couple times now. Easy to swap out. This one is super quiet…. Almost to quiet for those nervous bathroom people that need a little noise. Jk, it’s great and a really decent price. Anyone with a screw driver can replace these.
