Cup and saucer are both ceramic, and apparently very durable. Amazon shipped the order in a paper envelope and they arrived in pristine condition, granted, they are expertly wrapped.The finish on them looks and feels great, as the description says, matte finish on the outside, but glossy inside the cup. The thick walls on the cup kept my coffee warm for a long time.

Theese mugs are wide enough and spherical on the interior. Perfect for cappuccino. They are weighty and definitely made of decent ceramic.

They exceeded expectations in quality. I love them and I, proud to serve lattes in them. I am not sure I can afford to buy more at this price.

Noe of the mugs we have in our household have a wide enough body to work with our tea infusers, so I picked up one of these Merblant mugs, and within a day it became my preferred vessel for drinking tea in the morning. It feels sturdy and its sides are just thick enough that when I add the hot water for tea, the cup isn't too hot to hold. It's just right.The one downside of this mug: the handle is VERY small. It doesn't offer much for grip. But that's fine because I'd prefer to hold it with both hands and inhale the steam and take in the aroma of the tea. I likely won't be using the saucer often, but it's nice that it came with one. The ridged matte exterior also adds a nice gripping surface, which has been helpful both when drinking tea and coffee and when cleaning the mug.Also, it being microwave-safe is nice for those few times when I want to make a quick and dirty latte and heat up the milk in this mug.The mug is so good, both the wife and daughter are already starting to try and steal my mug in the morning, we might be ordering a couple more of these, so it's good to know they'll likely be arriving safely as well.

I opted for the oatmeal color and love how it looks on my table. The cup and saucer set also come in brown, pink, and purple, each with beautiful speckles that add a nice touch.The 12 oz cup is made of lead-free, non-toxic ceramic and is incredibly sturdy. It’s cute and nice but it’s to much money

I am impressed with how durable and thick this cup and saucer set it. So, when this cup arrive my three year old son helped me bring in our couple amazon packaged and once we got the packages inside my son immediately dropped the package on our hard tile floor. I heard the clink of glass and cringed that my new cup would be damaged thanks to that drop. To my surprise once I opened up the package and removed all the protective layers the cup and saucer were in MINT condition! It obviously wouldn’t hold up to an unprotected drop on our tile floors BUT, that does if nothing else speak to how well this cup and saucer set ship and are very well protected and packaged for shipment.I really like that the cup has a wider top than most 12 oz cups which is great for when I make a latte. The saucer is a great size perfect for holding the cup obviously in addition to a stir spoon, tea/coffee cookies or a tea bag. Both the cup and saucer feel durable and very well made. I love the perfect French lavender look and feel of this coffee set. My one complaint would be the size. The cup is a 12oz cup but, it barely holds my smallest single serve coffee setting. Which is 9.5oz. If you take your coffee straight black it’s not problem. I do always take cream and sugar with my coffee and once my cream and sugar is added theres just about no room to stir as my coffee is brimming in this cup. I wish it was a 14oz cup. Even 13oz would be more helpful to ensure the extra space needed for cream and sugar.Other than that I am loving this cup and saucer set and would definitely recommend it! I will be on the look out if I can find a 14 oz version of this set.**please don’t mind my mess from stirring. The level of coffee shown is after multiple sips.
