TX141TH-BV4 Wireless Weather-resistant Temperature/Humidity Sensor

This thing worked Beautifully! I bought this because the original one that came with my weather system just stopped working. I was using Amazon rechargeable batteries in it rather than buying batteries every time it stopped working. Now the original one worked excellent for the amount of time I had it. The cover broke and I had to use tape and some wire ties to hold it on and it kept on working. But just recently it stopped working. I put rechargeable batteries I just recharged back in it and it wouldn't connect and the little red indicator wasn't flashing. So, I bought this replacement and it connected right up to the weather station and works beautifully giving me pretty darn accurate temps and so far the batteries haven't been running low like they used to in the old one.

Bought this for an indoor/outdoor wireless system. The old sensor (TX141TH-BV3) started sending wierd readings, like single digit temperatures when they should have been 80 +, and sometimes no reading at all. I wasn't sure whether the old sensor was faulty or the problem was with the base. It was worth the purchase price to try the new sensor. Set it up with the remote sensor within 6" of the base and it read within 1 degree of the internal sensor in the base unit. Mounted it outside and it has been working perfectly. So far so good.

Bought this unit to replace and outdoor unit that had failed after many years of service. It fired up and connected with the indoor unit without incident and is now working fine.

Perfect replacement! Installed the batteries and connected to the existing station. Back in business in less than 10 minutes including installation Back outside.

The good: it worked flawlessly for about one year. The bad: Now even though it was protected from the elements and the red light still indicates that it's working, the connection to weather station C85845v4 keeps dropping. To get the weather station and the remote sensor to pair, I have to bring the remote sensor in and retry the pairing sequence several times. Also, the outside temp was always off by about 3 degrees but that was close enough for me. UPDATE 9-9-25: I contacted Lacrosse support. They sent a new sensor and now the outside temperature reading is working again. The new sensor paired instantly. Changing to four stars for Lacrosse's support.

This outdoor device was a replacement for one that came with a La Crosse weather station about five years ago. The original stopped functioning, so I ordered this replacement. It wouldn't stay connected to the base weather station - the temperature and humidity reading would randomly go out for an hour or two and come back on. I called La Crosse, and they suggested that it was going through too many walls in my house, and to move it. Even though it was in the exact same place as the original, I move it closer. No Luck. Then I set it next to the weather station. Same problem, would not stay connected. So I sent it back to Amazon as an exchange. But wait! There's more! The replacement was placed where the original had been - out of direct sunlight and rain. It stayed connected, but it had wacky random temperature readings, sometimes as much as eight degrees too high. Even when placed next to the base unit, the temperature was sometimes the same, and sometimes again eight degrees off. So this time it was retunred for a refund.

Have a LaCrosse indoor base station, the outdoor sensor died. This sensor easily connected with my old base station, and has been working great so far.

LaCrosse weather station stopped showing outside temperature. All trouble shooting failed. But replacing the outside sensor did the trick.

Perfect replacement for my 20 year old existing sensor that gave up last week.
