The lid cracked within a week of daily use. I would brew the coffee in a cup and not directly on to the lid. Inspite of that, the lid cracked. They should think of making the lid stainless steel as well! Or offer replacement lids.

Great for cold drink but from its design, probably not OK to pour in hot drinks as the thermoshock will warp the plastic and the stainless linings (as physics applies and this is probably why tons of people had warpped the plastic and deformed the cup) I also would like to point out that the inner and outer ice chill compartments are designed to NOT air tight thus allowing ice/thermo expansion under icing/hot condition, and it has a pinhole vent right underneath the adhesive tape (which I took off as my drink kept getting messy under it), and another venting hole on the outer compartment right around the lid. If you were to turn the cup 180 degree upside-down, these two pinholes will start leaking tiny droplets, which is normal by design (initially I was a bit upset as the leaking gives an impression of defects, but after close looking, they are there for a reason). As long as they were droplets it's totally fine. I am still dubious about how it can handle hot drinks which I dont regularly enjoy, but due to the different expansion rate of plastic and stainless steel, I personally dare not to venture such endeavor

I have a Nespresso and lovvve my iced coffees! This is perfect! I can add a cube or two to my drink but this ices the coffee in 2 mins and it’s still the perfect strength espresso not watered down. Ensure that when rinsing to place back in freezer to use cold water or your middle will pop and make a dent. Otherwise no complaints, easy to wash, and easy to rinse and use over and over between washes. Warning if you have a Nespresso tho! It doesn’t sit perfect under to guarantee the coffee goes in hole so watch it! 😂

Purchased this to make iced coffees at home. We usually brew Nespresso coffee (230ml or 7.77oz) cup, let cool a few minutes and then pour into the Hyperchiller. It does advertise that the coffee and be brewed directly into the cup, however, we have not tried this as several other reviews have mentioned a problem with cracking. The coffee gets poured into the chamber from the top. Works best to swirl around a bit and cools within minutes. We give it a rinse and wipe dry and pop it back into the freezer till next time. It was a gift purchase - not sure if I would usually justify spending this amount on a cup. It does speed up the chilling process and eliminates watered down coffee. We have been using this cup for 2 months without any cracking issues. It is also great for chilling other beverages, although pop is not as fizzy after pouring into this cup and then back into another cup for drinking.
