A great puzzle, marred by awful instructions and a load of useless extra pieces.
This puzzle is of a famous palace like castle; the Neuschwanstein, situated in Hohenschwangau, Germany. It is around 22 inches long, and 15 inches tall at the highest tower point, and looks impressive when fully built. Personally it took me around 8-10 hours to build, from creating the panels, to constructing the 3D elements. The pieces are of fine sponge quality, with fine printing of mostly white, grey, red and blue colours of the castle. While this puzzle is a fun and challenging build, the set has its drawbacks. The instructions are pretty horrendous, with the 3D sections being difficult to figure out, as they do not use any colour, only the outline of the pieces. Some smaller sections of the build are even missed out, leaving you to figure out where and how they are placed. The second drawback of the puzzle, is the needless inclusion of the 'red dotted' pieces, which are extra pieces that need to be taken out of the set and are not used in the main puzzle. I have no idea why these pieces are included, as it can lead to accidental discard of actual pieces. It feels like the makers were too lazy to pull these out of the box during production, or they simply left them there for an extra challenge during construction, either way it is an annoying and pointless feature.Overall, I would recommend this set if you are looking for a challenging puzzle, but children and individuals new to 3D puzzles may struggle due to the poor instructions.

A very difficult puzzle
I bought this as a present for my daughter who is very keen on puzzles. The end result is amazing but you need a lot of patience. The pieces are made from foam and are sturdy but the only colour image is that on the box. The instructions are dismal- probably the worst I've come across. You assemble the puzzle face by face but the instructions only show grey templates or outlines of each shape. As most of the pieces are cream, you have to find the shape of each piece as you piece the puzzle together. At times the difficulty of the puzzle ruins the enjoyment. I would recommend that the instructions are improved.

amazing and challenging
This puzzle was a Christmas present for a 10 year old which likes puzzles a lot. It was a first 3D for him and he found it too difficult and frustrating. I finished it over 5 evenings and yes it was hard as there are many small walls to put together and most of it looks the same. But I love a bit of a challenge and had great fun with it. The final result is stunning, very detailed, sturdy, good quality. The instructions tell you the best way to proceed, but if you looking for a numbers on the back of the pieces you are not going to find it.I would highly recommend for someone who loves puzzles and has some experience with 3D puzzle.

Challenging but fab
My third 3d puzzle and the most challenging one, love the wrebbit puzzles, they are bit more expensive but worth it as the finished builds look great. Worth the time and money.

I do relies that these things are in some way difficult but it would help a great deal if there was a better plan or even ...
some pieces do not belong in this puzzle which makes it very awkward to build, also the plan to build it is just a plain black and white piece of paper with no way of knowing how to build it, its just a jigsaw puzzle to me which will make it very difficult to build,I do relies that these things are in some way difficult but it would help a great deal if there was a better plan or even a picture to follow as quite a lot of jigsaw puzzles have regards JOHN D,

Search the instructions on their website. Thank me later
The puzzle is quite good quality in my opinion. The best thing you can do is find the instructions on their website as they're available in colour and with multiple views for each panel. ;)

Complex puzzle with very little guidance
Firstly I must say that this puzzle so far, looks superb. I have so far only managed to piece together the base and a small front section. None of the pieces are numbered/ lettered, and you effectively have to separate the pieces prior to use. The instructions provided show you how the sections go together, but only with a rough outline drawing comprising no key.Having really struggled to fathom this all out, I have now implemented my own method of coding the pieces which I believe will improve the experience in the long term.

Not for the faint hearted
Bought it for the wife for her birthday has she collects and builds 3D puzzles. Shes pretty good at puzzles but this is really testing her patience. Shes taken over the dining room table with the pieces everywhere. This puzzle is not for the faint hearted but it keeps her quiet lol. Next one i'll get her is the houses of parliament, another mind boggler.
