This product is great. We dipped our Victorian doors and I lived the pale colour but knew they needed some moisture. This product does that. The doors look amazing. It does bring them up darker, but it is only their natural colour. It goes on with a brush really easily and you can see where you’ve added it and the wood suck it up. I wanted a slight lustre and I really like the finish, it’s Matt in essence apart from the grain has a slight sheen, it’s not shiney or like a varnish at all. I would say, this isn’t the cheapest option. The can is much smaller than I’d anticipated and is expensive at between £17-20 per 750ml. We goth through 5 cams to do 10 doors (back and front). I had thought it would be like a natural oil but it’s more like a varnish, you’ll need white spirit to clean brushes and dust sheets if your not taking down doors. It’s very sticky so I’d also wear gloves. It is very strong in smell too, so you’ll need a well ventilated room. I’d definitely use this product again. My brothers a professional decorator and recommend that I use Osmo and I wasn’t disappointed.

Fantastic product so easy to use, but so effective

I fitted hardwood work surfaces in the kitchen and used the thin version of this oil for the first few colts to soak right into the wood. However, bought this thicker oil to finish the final two coats. My work surfaces is not only the look amazing but our hard wearing this product is super superb. I cannot recommend it enough.

One word.... Brilliant! I trawled thru a lot of similar products and just glad I chose this one. I was able to remove old varnish on my kitchen worktops with a flat edged tool similar to what you would use your remove old wallpaper. Didn't find sanding blocks useful! It goes on smoothly and evenly and goes a long way. It doesn't have a heavy smell like other oil/varnish products Gave a glorious shine on my wooden kitchen work surfaces. When I spilt water on the wood a few days later, it just sat on the surface of the wood and didnt soak into it. Applied three coats to each section. Did one section at a time to maximise remaining worktop space usage Prob about a day and a half to dry, depending on room temperature You won't go wrong using this,

I wanted something to brighten an old window ledge and opted for this product. I followed guidance from other reviewers ie applied the first coat with a brush, I subsequently added a number of coats by cloth rubbing it in. I probably ended up using more of the oil the strictly necessary but I was really pleased with the outcome. I read in another review that the label on tin said satin but underneath the tin said matt. I had that experience in terms of labelling but decided to press on (couldn't be bothered to return it). As per the picture the outcome looks satin to me so the labelling looks accurate. Too soon to comment on protection but I was pleased with the quality of the product and would purchase again.

A little goes a long way! I was surprised by how little Osmo TopOil I needed to cover my worktop.It spreads easily, absorbs well, and leaves a beautiful natural finish without looking overly glossy.Applying thin coats is definitely the key, and the coverage is excellent.Great value for money, and I’d happily buy it again.

En realidad es una combinación de aceites y ceras, que no sólo sirve para encimeras de cocina sino para acabar al aceite cualquier mueble en cualquier madera, con una terminación increíble que no admite comparación con ningún otro aceite del mercado, además que que, a diferencia de la mayoría de los aceites, este no se va perdiendo con el tiempo y mantiene espectacularmente el avivamiento del tono y el suave y consistente brillo que proporciona. Producto, más que inmejorable, prácticamente increíble. Bastante caro, pero no querrás probar otro cuando lo hayas usado.

This product is perfect for finishing an oak worktop. It’s really tough so hot mugs and spills and standing water don’t damage the surface at all. I applied it about 6 months ago and there are no signs of wear so it won’t need to be reapplied too often.
