I’ve had several magnifiers in my lifetime most of which have gone in the bin! This one will not share that fate. There are several good reasons for keeping this head magnifier so I’ll list them hereFirstly the magnifier has only 4 lenses two main lenses and two jewellers loupes.Each of the two main lenses can be used independently but the lenses cannot be removed as they are fixed into the magnifier. However, the rear lens is set in a swivel and can be rotated so that only the front lens is in useThis arrangement means that you never lose the lenses and there is no need to carry a box of different lenses around with you.The jewellers loupes Are fixed to the front face of the magnifier on a separate fitting and again can be used independently or as a pair. When used together the focal length ( distance from the object is really short but the magnification is really clear.All the lenses used in this magnifier are really good with no distortion.The one thing I hate about most head magnifiers is that the illumination is via a rechargeable battery and is mounted centrally on the headband.This magnifier is different in that it has two LED lights mounted one on each side of the headband and focused properly so that the light shines directly onto the object you are viewing with no shadows. And each lamp is independently switched and carries 2 AAA batteries. This means that you don’t get the usual sudden loss of light when the power goes, and you do not have to search around for a convenient charge point and have to wait for it charging. All you need is to carry a spare set of batteries and you have fresh light in minutes that last a lot longer than rechargeable ones anyway.The headband is very well made and doesn’t use Elastic straps. Instead you get a comfortable ratchet band that stays where you set it and the moveable head is held properly in place with tension nuts so that you can swivel it up out of the way. All in all I am totally happy with the magnifier and would recommend anyone to give it a try

Good for the price comfortable to wear

Excellent, so far only used it for a repair to my partners gold bracelet, really good and helpful, made the fiddly job easier.I'm sure it will help in lots of other occasions too.

I bought this headset for soldering. I'd hit a wall trying to solder dense gpio headers onto tiny pads on dense PCBs. It made previously near impossible precision work easy and improved my soldering instantly. The two visor lenses are the most useful. The flip down loupes are somewhat useful for close up inspection in combination with one of the visor lenses (the internal one flips up inside the visor which is nice) you do however have to bring your subject so close to the loupe lenses that the headset blocks the LED lights, which is annoying. The whole thing is made of cheap plastic, including the lenses. It's not overly comfortable, but it also no too bad (I wear it over a beanie hat for extra padding). Overall this is fantastic value for 15 quid. Wasn't expecting to find something with so many useful features for under £30.

nice bit of kit, and the two small magnifiers make it a lot better than the old type.

This is ok but can hurt when fitting over your head as the sharp edges of the material can dig into your forehead. Once on its not and issue and is fairly comfortable. Plenty of magnifying lenses and lights to help you see small components.

Perfect for working on my n scale rail road. Makes it easy to work on switches cars and engine repairs. Great various magnification and the lights are excellent.

J'ai enfin trouvé ce que je cherchais, après plusieurs déconvenues.Tout est bien conçu, on voit que c'est du matériel très bien pensé.Les points positifs :- le deuxième écran basculable : pas besoin de le stocker qq part au risque de ne plus savoir ou il est ...- écran basculable alors que la loupe est en position sur la tête, très pratique- grossissement de base largement suffisant dans la plupart des cas- et une profondeur de champs appréciable de près de 30 cm- grossissement supplémentaire là aussi très suffisant avec tout de même 20 cm de profondeur- les 2 petites loupes supplémentaires, là aussi intégrées (une seule des deux à la fois, les 2 ensembles c'est la cata)- système de fixation arrière bien conçu, qui est verrouillable facilement en appuyant dessus.- serrage du système de bascule efficace; ça ne tombe pas une fois serré modérément comme avec mes anciennesLes points négatifs :- dommage qu'il faille actionner 2 interrupteurs pour avoir une lumière centrés- le poids; mais ça semble normal compte-tenu de la prestation offerteA acheter les yeux fermés ! mais à utiliser les yeux ouverts ;-)

Good focal point distance from goggles for two biggest magnification. Led lights aim in correct spot. For the biggest magnifications the LED light is practically useless, same as the focal point at around 1-2 cm.
