AGOOD STRONG LOCK USED IT ON MY NEW SIDE GATE. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.

Unless it is for a shed you don't use much, you will probably want better knobs on this lock. That said, the price is on par with it's knobless competitors, and at least you have a fully functioning lock in the box. Personally I would sooner have paid more for a product where the knobs were of the same quality as the lock.

I used this as additional security on a wooden gate at the rear of my property and it works well, I know that this may generally be used on outbuildings (which it excels at) but I wanted to stop people from being able to just unbolt the gate to open it and it does a great job thereRelatively simple to fit as long as you have the basic chippy skills to fit it.Also an inexpensive option to add a little securityAll in all I am very happy with this product

I needed an urgent replacement for a broken shed lock, and this fits the bill.Sadly I needed to rotate the tongue and that turned into a real struggle, the usual loud spong noise and search for missing parts. When I eventually got all the bits back on the bench, the tongue would not fit properly into the slot, bad pressing on the tongue holder had to be ground down to make it work. While there, looking at the actual tumbler mechanism it's about as basic as you can get, you don't need any specific key shape, just one the right size.I'm happy that at least I can temporarily close and lock the shed door and when all's said and done it was cheaper than getting an emergency lock fitter out, but it has prompted me to look into a more secure solution long term.

Fits well, but hasn’t lasted, it’s gone wrong and the main spring broke after 9 months….. therefore I had to purchase another lock from a local supplier with a 12 months guarantee

This is very poorly made, internal spring mechanism on the latch came loose on mine during testing after fitting and as a result, there is a very reasonable chance that you will, unwittingly, lock yourself in or out of whatever you attach this to. I have no faith in it as a simple mechanical device and have since purchased something significantly better for a small amount more from a reputable outlet. The handle/knob is well described by other reviews…dreadful.

Decent product. Can be used on either handed door but may need reversal of closing latch which is easy with removal of two screws from back plate.All fixing screws supplied but longer ones are better if available.
