Well worth the money!
Bought this pump 2 years ago. It has ran 24/7 since I installed it, all year including winters. The pump has very good flow while pumping water vertically a little over 6 feet. The pump sets in the deepest part of the pond which is just over 4 feet. A rock came loose (dogs playing around pond) and fell on the pump. That knocked the blue cap loose and caused the pump to quit pumping. Once the cap, which was unbroken, was placed back on the pump, the pump worked like new. After 2 years I can not tell any difference in the functioning of this pump. If it ever stops working I will purchase this pump again.

Works With Aladdin No Niche Pond Skimmer
After searching forever for a pump that works with the Aladdin No Niche Pond Skimmer I finally found this one. It has a large enough outlet size to connect to the the skimmer with a Fernco flexible pipe connector you can purchase at most hardware stores. It's works perfectly with a great flow rate that feeds a bog filter and waterfall. Highly recommend!

Pump Works Fine But....
I've has the pump running daily for the past few weeks and it works fine. But, although the pump is supplied with a number of fittings to connect the pump to a hose or water line, the fittings are not designed for the U.S. I may be wrong but I needed to buy and jury rig another small tube to fit on the pump, and also accept a tube or hose to fit into it. Not a big deal especially if you have the tube or hose that fits the pump. A bigger deal if you think the pump will accept what you have around as I did, and I was wrong. Beyond that, the pump moves a large volume for a low purchase price..

most power efficient
as a professional pond builder I installed many Trupow pumps like this and smaller. They are durable and most power efficient , no other pump moves so much water with so little energy. Also they are wonderfully easy to clean . I will buy more of them.

Flow to Cost Value
I ordered this pump in a crunch after my main filter and waterfall pump started to fail. My main pump is $450+ while this pump was $70. The quality and design is quite evident although both pump's gph flow about the same rate. I cannot comment on longevity as I just got it, but I can say I would trust this pump for intermittent utility use, but not my main pump for long term years of service. Looking at both impellarsxfrom each pump, its definitely not as durable looking. I might suggest further protecting this pump with a screen bag to filter out more larger debris to reduce impellar damage for long term. Hopefully the motor lasts longer than a couple years. The warranty is 1.5 years....which is decent for the price point, but my main pump has a 3 year warranty and lasted 9 years. I would recommend this pump for certain application and may buy another for water movement, but not as my main pump.

It’s a beast!
Powerful AF. I read the GPH, and that’s why I bought it. But I wasn’t expecting it to come shooting out of the hose the way it did when I got it hooked up. I even emptied my duck pond with it. Ducks are messy and gross and they have feathers and get everything in the pond that wouldn’t have gotten there on its own, so pumps and filters clog quick. I’ve had to make filter houses from crates and other pieces of grating and filter materials to not damage everything. This this is a monster and will pump until it can’t possible get another drop through the filter media. I set up a crate filter and attached a pipe to the intake to pull water through the crate filter first. I haven’t tried it the other way, but I don’t see how that would make it work any less…just wouldn’t make sense the way I need to do it. Soooooooo worth it!

OVERRATED
It may spit out 1500GPH if you don't connect a hose to it. I was very underwhelmed, but I was prepared to be. The market has been flooded with cheap pumps and this is the perfect example. You can't believe specs on any of these now. You get what you pay for. At this price, it isn't too bad of a deal, but why do they want to over sale it? Be prepared for disappointment if you're hoping to move a lot of water.

Poor housing quality
The handle broke before I even got it out of the box. Seems a little sketchy already
