is this bucket thickness 90mil?

I don't know what the thickness is as I have no way of properly measuring it, but it is very durable and has no problem holding 20lbs of dog food. This is an excellent product once you figure out how to get the screw-top ring on.

Can you use this with water for hydroponics

I wouldn't think so as you need oxygen for that right? Why would you want to seal that out.

Does the "Ring" that the" Screw Top" attaches need to be snapped onto the bucket or does everything come attached as a whole?

No, You have to attach it and they don't just snap on and if you force it, it probably won't turn out good. Many said in the comments that they left the ring in the sun for a while. I didn't have that luxury when I got mine as it was cloudy for days. So I preheated my oven to the lowest temperature maybe around 200 degrees F. I placed the ring only (remove cover) and placed it on the center rack for about 5 minutes. I then removed the ring with oven mitts just to be safe and was able to pop it right on with only slight pressure. Don't know if that's the preferred method, but it did not come with instructions. Once you get it on, it's a great bucket. I would wait till everything cools before screwing the cover on.

What is the mil thickness?

Don't know, but not enough to keep the squirrels from chewing thru it in one night. I returned them & bought the metal ones.
