The blade on this lopper is sharp and will cut as expected. It delivers a clean, smooth cut. The product has a heft to it since it's extra long and made of metal (including the handles). Hence, it can be challenging to chop of branches at a height or when you have to utilise this lopper's entire length. When used as such, it's natural for the head end to seem heavy. Not meant for the frail or old. But I'm happy with the purchase.
