Ranger Dylusions Ink Spray 2oz, After Midnight

This was my first time using ink on wood. These were not only fun but very easy to use. I'm looking forward to using them on future projects.

Love Dylusions ink for all my projects. They WILL clog so when you use any spray inks when you are finished with a color you should unscrew it, dip it in warm water and pump the spray until it runs clear. It is a huge pain but the only way to keep your misters from clogging. This is true with all brands. I haven't done this in the past and wishing I had taken time to properly care for them. Once they clog, in my experience they are a real pain to unclog IF you even can.

The spray ink by Ranger Dyan is perfect for big and small projects. It goes on smoothly and reliably. The photo is of ceramic tiles with collage elements. Without the ink sprays, the effect for the base of the collages would not be as brilliant. Colors are true and bright. It is perfect for the experimentation with ink and acrylic paint. I have several paintings with ink as accents. The photos doesn't do them justice.

I thought the color was beautiful and I really like the background I was able to create using this spray.The problem - it never dried. Three days later the ink was still smudging and the day after I managed to blue up the cat, my clothes, and several pieces of furniture.The ink kept coming up as I was putting in the foreground and soaking into my forearms where I didn't notice the problem at first. I have no idea if it was just that bottle or a regular problem with spray ink this is the first time I have tried it.

This stuff is so fun! I originally got it to “wreck this journal” but there is still a lot left. I can see myself using it for a lot of projects. On paper the ink tends to dry and if it’s a fine mist the paper doesn’t buckle. Of course if the paper does buckle I use two sheets of card stock and a hair straightener on low, or an iron works every time. Keep the straightener moving, always monitor that the paper isn’t getting too hot or burning.

The colors in this line are incredibly vivid and reactive to water so you can create all kinds of wonderful effects. The spritz bottles are convenient but you can also decant them into water brushes and use them for specific detail work. The product is remarkably versatile and lots of fun.

One of the bottles leaked and it was inky inside the plastic bag in which it was mailed. I have orange palms! Amazed me as it took soooo long to get the plastic wrapper of each one as they don't have the perforated stitching for ease of opening.I haven't used the inks yet.

Got what I Iordered

This white spray is an excellent product. I have used it to tone down overly bright colours and it has helped me correct a couple of colour mistakes. You can use it as a spray and add water to make it run, or just use it on it's own. You can also dab it here and there if you just want a bit of white. I recommend it highly.

I have a few dylusions spray inks and love how they blend together on a page. I should say that these dylusions inks are dye inks except for this white one which is a pigment ink, so it is really useful for using over the top of the other colours.
