THE BEST UPRADE FOR TRAKTOR PRO 3
Always, with purchasing new DJ equipment is a challenge, not knowing how they will work with your setup. I am amazed at the Pioneer CDJ900NXS Nexus Professional Multi Players, I just bought & hooked up with my Traktor Kontrol Z2 Mixer & Traktor Pro 3. This upgrade was worh it, from my CDJ1000 MKIII's. The feel of the jog wheels are very nice & the control of Traktor Pro 3 is the best experience, I've had in a while. I love Traktor Pro 3, compared to Serato, because I can do more with arranging my music, playlists & editing tracks. As you may not know Native Instruments have been very slow to introduce new controllers that have the Pioneer or Rane features & looks pleasing to the eyes. I took the Pioneer CDJ900NXS Nexus Professional Multi Players for test run, last night & was very happy with all the functions & being able to do alot more with these CDJ. The multiplayers offer alot more connection options. The only thing I would like is a Traktor Kontrol Z2 mixer with paddle effects & Stems buttons like the Pioneer & Rane mixers. I do have a Rane Seventy Two Mixer, I will try with Traktor. Overall, This was a good upgrade. I will have to try them with Serato, next & See, How they perform? I got this model, because I wanted to be able to play my cd's. I didn't see the need to get the expensive one's & they don't play cd's. By the way, I read a few reviews & heard there were No CUE Buttons, I don't know which model that was, But, the Pioneer CDJ900NXS Nexus Professional Multi Player have a CUE & PLAY button that works.... STAYBLESSED!!!

Great player for the cost.
The USB will wear out if you dont pull straight up when removing the drive. I use these in clubs so DJ's tend to not care and pull a little sideways when removing the drive causing cracks in the solder connections. Sometimes resoldering the contacts will fix the issue but in taking the top off be careful with the ribbon cable. you can trash the unit easily and i mean easily.. Also you can find the little USB board replacement on line if you need to replace it..

The only REAL club standard Pioneer CDJ deck still available new.
Just bought a new CDJ-900NXS recently. It's everything I hoped it would be. Solid build quality. Nicely weighted, full size jog wheel. (Much better than the jog on the XDJ-1000 units) Excellent sound quality. The SNR is 115db with a 24 bit 48khz Wolfson DAC. This is the first CD player Ive owned with pro spec line outputs. Much hotter voltage than standard consumer stuff. All of the DJ functions work great. I don't mix with it, but the looping and beat divide and slip mode are all fun for "trick" scratching. It's an older model released over a decade ago, but still very capable. Actually, this is the only real deal, professional, club standard, Pioneer CDJ you can still buy new ! Manufacture date was in 2025, so they are still making them fresh, not old stock. The latest CDJ-3000 and CDJ-3000X don't play CDs and they cost considerably more. If you didn't know, the 900NXS is basically a CDJ-2000 Nexus without hot cues. But it has the same screen, looping, waveform display with zooming, quantization, fast processor etc as that flagship CDJ. Yes it is expensive. But there is nothing else like it available. Just a basic name brand CD player like Yamaha, Cambridge, or NAD cost ~$500 nowadays. So I look at like I paid the difference from a typical "consumer" level CD player to get all the extra functionality. of the Pioneer CDJ. It's a very cool toy. I love it.

More overpriced crap from Pioneer
Naturally, another highly marked up item from Pioneer. No cue button and questionable build, especially regarding the USB port. These probably cost Pioneer $80-90 to build and are then marked up 1000% for your enjoyment. Unfortunately, a lot of "professional DJs" require this crap to feel validated when far better equipment exists for a way lower price.

Very Intuitive
Works well and entirely as expected. What we have come to expect from Pioneer. Plenty of positive and not 'gimmicky' features.
