Love this product.

My husband has been taking this for the last week and a half before meals that he expects might give him digestive difficulties.  I tried it myself the other night, taking it before we indulged in a rare fast food treat from a popular chain with a bell in its logo.  The food from this chain almost always gives my husband some issues, so of course, he took this product first.  As has been his experience with this stuff, it seemed to help him. Unfortunately, I experienced some cramping afterwards, which is unusual for me.  Could have been a fluke, of course, but maybe this stuff is great for some people, like my husband, and not so great for others, like me.  That said, I will try it again because I had hoped to use it as a secondary defense against accidental gluten exposure. Especially when eating out, cross-contamination is always a concern for anybody with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, so having something that can help you break down those proteins can't be a bad thing--just in case.  The thing is, my husband has used other digestive enzyme products with success, and they cost a lot less than this stuff.  The fact that BioTRUST AbsorbMax is made in a GMP-certified facility and is tested for purity and safety by a third party gives me some peace of mind, and I like that they are small, easy to swallow capsules.  So would I recommend it?  I guess if the price (currently nearly fifty bucks) doesn't bother you, go for it.  I think it's a quality supplement that might help enjoy your favorite foods more comfortably, and you just won't know until you try it.I hope my experience with this product might help YOU make a more informed purchase.  Happy shopping!

This was terrible on the stomach. It caused stomach pain and upset. After taking for a week my husband had to stop taking because he had terrible issues.

For some years now, I haven't been able to eat green bell peppers. It wasn't something I thought about much because I don't really like them. We can both eat bell pepper on pizza again and I made fajitas the other night with way too much red bell -- it was fresh from our garden and irresistible. I had a slight twinge of discomfort and my husband had a little, too. But not like before. We both took a couple of Gas-Xs and the problems were gone.These are very pricey, so I'd look elsewhere if you need to take them daily. Otherwise, they're great!
