Great beginner plane!
My Sonโs flight instructor uses these planes and said they are the easiest to learn with. I purchased a โused like newโ plane from a seller on here and it looked pretty much brand new. Great to save money and still have an awesome plane!

May be faulty plane
I bought this plane after doing hours of research, watching YouTube videos and thought it would be a great trainer plane. After putting it together and making sure all the trimming was right, I took it out on a non windy day and about 30 seconds in it had a mind of its own and crashed straight into the ground. I returned it and requested a new one because I knew it just wasnโt right. After a whole MONTH I got my new one in and did the same thing over again and it flies amazing and doesnโt disappoint. I definitely recommend it. Just keep in mind you may get a faulty one. Thatโs my reason for 3 star review.

Sts malfunctioned
Enjoyed the first 5 minutes of flying then all of a sudden while in training mode and next to no wind the plane malfunctioned and flew straight into the ground. I'm learning anything spektrum is not reliable.

Most flown, least crashed
I have dozens of planes I havenโt flown yet because I am terrible. The apprentice was awesome. I felt like a pro after a few hours. Turning the safe off allowed me to do some awesome flips , flipped the safe on several times to save me. Crashed from about 15 feet into a dive. Survived and only lost the nose cone and battery flap. All the foam survived ! $20 later and itโs ready to fly again!

Must do for beginners
This is, by far, the best RC trainer on the market. The problem most people have with RC planes is not properly preparing the plane and radio. This requires that you get help from a person who knows. It's critical that you balance the plane as shown in the instructions. Then zero the trims on the transmitter. Then zero the control surfaces on the plane. If you can't find help your local hobby shop can help.

Shipping, deliveries on time. *****
First Apprentice returned due to faulty electronics. RTF. Replacement stripped rudder servo while setting up, imagine a maiden flight result. Vertical stab warped, still trying to steam correct. Foam mold seam overflow from cowl to tail end. Still on workbench, not giving up on it. Donโt see the hype as being the best Trainer as yet.

Well constructed very high quality But had to return it
Very well constructed . High quality for sure , but had to return it because of very slow jerky all servos action Unflyable in this condition. and I m a very experienced flyer and I operated a service center for old r/c systems in late seventies . I bought this trainer because I wanted to try the Eflite technology, auto landing etc. Chatted with Eflite technical help ( you can t speak to these guys ) could not help me .He recommended That I return it to amazon which I did. 2 months ago My 2 new Eflite airplanes carbon cub and Eratix which working fine in august started to do the exact same thing. By some luck ,I had ordered the 2 update connector so I could modify my dual rates on my new Spektrum dsx transmitter To my surprise, this transmitter that came the carbon cub, that I purchased last August did not have the latest software . I updated it and the trouble disappear on both my planes even tough the carbon cub was much older that I bought used but not assembled on fb market place which a different Spektrum transmitter a DXE Strange that the same trouble appeared out of nowhere on 2 different airplane. I freaked out for a while . I never seen this in all my years a problem like this . So if you have this problem You can try updating the transmitter (DSX) see if this will solved the problem. Too bad in a way because Amazon probably had to return it to SPektrum from Canada to the US at great cost cause it is a big heavy box . you will have to buy the update cables to do this .
