Absolutely delightful bonsai tree
I brought this tree for my husband's birthday and am absolutely delighted with it. It arrived a few days after ordering which was a couple of weeks before the birthday so I was a bit worried about it being in the box but it was fine. Unfortunately I was very ill on my husband's birthday so he was given it still in the box - I didn't see the packaging but he said it was very well packaged with no chance of the tree being damaged. The tree itself was in perfect condition after its two weeks in a box and I was delighted with how healthy it looked and its shape. All it needed was some water as the soil had dried out. The tree is in a lovely authentic pot with tray and I've attached a photo which shows the tree about two weeks after it was unwrapped. Together with the tree was a lot of printed information sheets which gave not only a lot of generic details about bonsai and how to care for the trees but also specific information about this particularly tree like when it was last repotted and when it would need repotting again. Over a month after my husband's birthday the tree is still looking great although it has lost a few leaves but this is understandable and also from the literature for the tree it is now autumn (having been imported from Japan the seasons are the other way around). If you are interested in trying a bonsai tree I would highly recommend this one as its inexpensive and absolutely delightful. Makes a great gift too. I also brought a book about caring for bonsai trees but you don't need it as this tree comes with all the information you could need.

Hardy Bonsai from a quality company
Iโve had this Chinese Elm bonsai for quite some time now, and itโs been an absolute delight. When it first arrived, it was exceptionally well-packaged, ensuring it reached me in perfect condition. It was lush and leafy straight out of the box, which gave a brilliant first impression and set the tone for my experience. The deep green leaves have maintained their vibrant colour, adding a fresh and calming presence to my space. The ceramic pot and matching tray not only provide a sturdy base but also complement the bonsai's elegance beautifully. Whatโs impressed me most is its resilience. Itโs thrived through summer, autumn, winter, and now into spring 2025 without any issues. Seeing it sprout new growth as the seasons turn has been incredibly rewardingโit feels like a little emblem of renewal and endurance right on my table. This bonsai has become more than just a plant; itโs a steadfast companion through the seasons. If youโre looking for something that combines nature, patience, and serenity, I canโt recommend it enough.

Little bonsai, great value
I must admit that, although I ordered this in faith, I was a little dubious about what I was going tor receive. But, it was well worth it. The bonsai tree was well packaged in a way that there would be little risk of damage to the tree or the pot. The soil was covered over to avoid spilling out and there were no damaged branches or leaves in the one that I received. It came healthy and with good bright green leaves and sturdy branches. I originally didn't read the care instructions and as a result put it near a radiator and didn't water it in the correct way so nearly killed it! But, after realising my mistakes, I moved it over to the windowsill and watered it properly ensuring it the watering would filter through the soil and it has bloomed amazingly. New branches are growing with decent healthy leaves and it is a joy to look at and so far easy to look after. The ornamental pot and dish are really nice and attractive, however I decided to move it into a bigger pot just for my own preference. I also bought some bonsai feed and pruning scissors from Amazon (see my other reviews) and they help to keep it looking lively and tidy. I would recommend this little gem, they do look very cool and I do like the miniature look of the bonsai tree.

Good present, high maintenance
I bought this tree as a gift for my friend whose birthday was in August. She lives in a different city to me and for many reasons I haven't been able to give it to her yet so I still have it. The tree came VERY well packaged the base and drip tray were both well wrapped in bubble wrap and the whole box itself had polystyrene peanuts filling it to prevent the tree from damage. I was very impressed with the packaging and the tree seemed to have dropped little to no leaves on its journey. The delivery also only took about 2-3 days which was also great. It came with a long list of instructions which was quite overwhelming as I didn't expect such a little tree to be such high maintenance! The first appearance of the tree I was impressed with, however it didn't have anywhere near as many leaves as on the picture. I was expecting some of the leaves to have yellowed during the delivery but none of them had which is probably because it was only in the box for a couple of days. I received this tree in the summer and put it on my windowsill which gets sun all day... big mistake. The tree quickly dried out and dropped the majority of its leaves in a few days despite me feeding it often. I moved it to my desk but still to this day it has not gone back to the same state as before. It started to sprout very long branches rather than the smaller ones it was supposed to, I did some research and put this down to it not getting enough sunlight, so I moved it to a different windowsill that gets a good amount of sunlight, but not as much direct sunlight as the others. The branches are still quite long so I am going to do some pruning and see if that helps. Overall I am happy with the tree, it still looks quite good, the 'S' shape of the trunk is very pleasing and interesting to look at.

Don't panic if the leaves fall off..
Lovely tree.. It looked lovely in the beginning, but later on it started to drop its leaves, that made me think, that I killed it ( :D ), but I've put it closer to the light and started feeding it with plant food + I've cut down the wire bits that has been holding its branches. I've trimmed it down quite heavily as well and left it without any leaves at all, but after some time the tree started growing new leaves again. I like it even more now then in the beginning as it seems more free and healthier without the wires. I would recommend to dip it in the water (as in the picture) every now and then, because that helps the tree a lot as well, as the roots are very tangled in the small pot and I don't think there's a lot of soil to maintain the water. All in all it is a good product, but it requires attention and care as most of the plants in order to keep it luscious and beautiful. I'm not very good with plants in general, but this one survived even with me, so I believe this is a plant that is determined to stay alive. Very happy.. :)

I felt that this was probably a better way to get into Bonsai
I ordered my very first Bonsai Plant a couple of days after I bought a Bonsai starter kit from Amsterdam, which consists of a pot, dirt, and seeds. I felt that this was probably a better way to get into Bonsai, and rather than just rearing seeds for years, I'd have a grown plant that I can care for now. One of my most positive comments would be the speed in which the tree arrived. I prepared myself for the agony of waiting days, maybe a week or two, for my Bonsai to arrive, not knowing how the long journey from Germany would mar and dehydrate such a fragile specimen. To my surprise, a box arrived at my door within 4 days of my order, on the earliest predicted date of its arrival. I was even more satisfied to find the plant well packaged, and in very good condition. I bought a few tools (Bonsai scissors, wire mesh, wire, wire cutters, fertilizer, small watering can) to help myself get started with Bonsai, and I can say that at the end of my first day with the tree, they've all come in handy. The plant was easy to cut, and I feel that once I begin to prune regularly, I will have a better understanding for Bonsai and for the tree itself. I've added pictures of the bonsai after heavy pruning, still unfinished, the clippings, the tool I used along with the fertilizer. All of the tools can be found on Amazon. Bonsai Tree 2 Piece Care Set - Scissors and Feed Perhaps its too early, but after one day I already love my Bonsai, and will continue to research in order to care for him properly. The company provide some information about caring for the Bonsai, so I will use this as the base for my knowledge. I'm also happy to answer any questions I can to any inquisitive new buyers, but I can already endorse the purchase of this lovely little tree.

So impressed!
I ordered this tree on thursday, it's monday now and it arrived in a cardboard box via Royal Mail this morning. Inside the box was the tree (already planted), with the pot protected by lots of cellophane and the tree head protected by polystyrene chips, the stand was separately wrapped in a bubble-filled envelope, and there was also a company card with contact details for the seller and a useful A4 sheet of instructions and advice on plant care in the package. The tree itself is beautiful, it looks very healthy and stylish. I second what other reviewers have said about feeling relaxed just looking at it! I bought this for my brother for Christmas (as it's November, I now have to tree-sit for a month :p) and I'm thrilled at the condition because I know he'll love it! I was a bit weary of the price when I clicked 'buy' and honestly I felt I was taking a risk - I wasn't expecting too much because it was so cheap - but I love it and I'm going to have to get myself one now! Very very happy customer and would highly recommend getting your bonsai's here!

Bonsai Elm parvifolia s style
I loved this tree when it arrived it was well packed and looked absolutely gorgeous really healthy. But sad to say it did not last that way even thought I followed all the instructions to the letter it unfortunately seems to be dying and it would seam no matter what I do it is not working. It was ok for the first two weeks and then its leaves started to look a bit different almost like the green had been washed out of them and that was the start of the end the leaves started to shrivel up and fall off now I only have a tree that looks like its in the middle of winter i.e.. no leaves but I will keep it for a while just to see if it starts to grow new buds (I doubt it will I feel quite sad about that) it was a lovely little tree. kind of peaceful just to look at. but not at the moment we will see what happens but I think its gone.
