Gets right to the point
This is not the fattest book in the world (just 48 pages) but the pages are packed with useful info and loads of sharp, clear full colour "how-to" pictures. The text is econmical but covers just what you need to know with no unnecessary waffle. As a complete newbie to the world of leathercraft, this book has helped me no end. Yes, there are plenty of other leathercraft books out there, but I doubt many cram so much useful information into such an easy to swallow format. Well recommended if you're just starting in leather working.

Great starter book
This book covers lots of basics in leather crafting and is very useful to tell you the tools and the way to use them. Tells you about different leathers. However my only criticism is that there are no projects in there to get you started, however you can find lots on the internet. If you are just starting to get interested I would say this is the book for technique and tools.

Not a bad book but delivery a problem
The book is very much a simplistic, but useful introduction to the techniques of leather work. However, it is thin on textual explanations and very much skims the surface of the craft. It also in quite a large format, but despite the difficulty of handling it, it does allow for large explanatory diagrams and pictures.I do have a complaint about the delivery though, the courier folded the envelope and consequently the book when stuffing it through the letterbox when both my wife and me were at home and very close to the doorway, so I don't believe that the courier knocked or rang the bell. Normally I would return such a package but i am hoping that the book will flatten with use, but very disappointing on behalf of the courier.

Not a complete course by no means, but a great to get you started. Well worth the money.
This is not a complete leather working guide, but it touches on a lot of topics. It talks about stitching, lacing, embossing, coloring, finishing edges, cutting plus a few other topics. Enough information to get beginners started and headed in the right direction, a great book for the price I'm happy I bought it.

Poor layout
I bought the kindle edition based upon the high ratings. But to be honest it’s a poorly laid out book with limited information behind the high level descriptions. The sewing section doesn’t even include the saddle stitch! Misses out a good introduction section, or any form of structure to the content, not recommended for beginners or anyone expecting a detailed guide to working with leather.
