Keep in mind that you can always make the hole in the Starbucks top bigger if needed. It's a plastic lid so you can use any number of tools to make the hole bigger. If you are drinking hot coffee from the cup I would recommend getting some of the silicone straw tips as these straws take on the temperature of the drink rater quickly. The info I can find for the replacement straws on the Stanley site says they are 1 MM but it's the hole in the lid you need to know about and I cannot find any info on that. I would suggest buying them and checking to see if they will work. While returning items can be annoying it is an option if they are not what you need. By the way, I would suggest getting a set of silicone tips. Metal straws carry the heat from hot drinks straight to your lips and even cold beverages can be awkward when your lips are directly on the straw.
