This new Murad product, Youth Renewal Serum, is aimed at repairing signs of ageing rather than preventing it (they have other products for that, of course!). It contains the 'magical' ingredient retinol, a substance proven effective at rejuvenating skin in clinical trials.The product is beautifully presented with a very practical and well-designed pump system. Once applied to absorbs quickly, and has no strong perfume. You do not need to use a lot of this product, a small amount goes a long way.Use as instructed, after a week I already noticed a slight difference; smoother skin. After 2 weeks my wrinkles appeared to be reduced around my eyes, and after a month my forehead too. I am quite surprised that this product has worked so effectively and in such a short time. The effect is completely different to using a moisturizer, there is clearly something different going on.As to whether it's worth the high cost of year-round use, that's another question. It certainly works at reducing wrinkles and other fine lines noticeably.

I love this - very light easily absorbed serum. I use it in combination with the Murad Retinol Night Cream. I wish I could say I looked 10 years younger.. but my skin is definitely softer and smoother. Remember what goes on inside, shows outside - so make sure you eat a good diet along with a good cream. Your food shows on your face!

I was going to wait for a few weeks before leaving a review, but I can see a difference after a few days. This is my first retinol product and I was worried it would leave my skin red and irritated but, it has not, at all. I have applied it at night, as directed (followed by my regular moisturiser) and have definitely noticed that my skin feels smoother and more plump in the morning. I'm not certain about the impact on my fine lines, but I am only a few days in. The product is somewhere between a lotion and a cream in consistency, goes on easily and is absorbed quickly, with no noticeable fragrance. An impressive product.

Murad is one of my wife's very favourite brands. As usual with Murad the packaging is function over style with a more clinical rather than bling look about it. The test for a serum in our house is about its consistency, scent, residue and effect. It scores good on all fronts - no oily feeling skin afterwards is a particular win for anything that says 'serum' on the box. Although this isn't marketed as a night thing, that is when my wife has been using it. She's about two weeks in, although it would be over-egging it to say there was a clear 'before and after' difference to appearance - she is adamant that her skin feels better. Will update the review in future after longer use, but for now if you're already a Murad fan then she's confident to recommend this one.
