Product description CD: Eagles,Hell Freezes Over .co.uk Indeed, there were many who thought that it would take an event as cataclysmic as the one described in the album title to get these seminal 1970s soft-rockers back together. But here they are, revisiting some of their most beloved tunes as well as four new ones, on this mostly live, largely acoustic disc. Frey, Henley, Walsh, Schmit, and Felder tackle iconic Eagles standards like "Hotel California", "Tequila Sunrise", "Take It Easy", "Desperado", and "Life in the Fast Lane" and new tunes like "Get Over It" and "Love Will Keep Us Alive" with the smoothly cocky assurance that originally made them icons. --Scott Schinder

BRILLIANT EAGLES.
I saw the concert, Hell Freezes over on my birthday when the Eagles made their comeback. What can I say about this CD but that it is totally brilliant. There is not one bad track on it. I can't even pick out a favourite track. How can you even rate your favourite Eagle. Don Henley on drums and vocals or Joe Walsh, the great Rock guitarist, Timothy B Schmit's beautiful ballads and the superb songwriting of Glen Frey/Don Henley. The combination of the voices, harmonies and superb musicianship of the whole band transports you back to a time and place whne all was right with the world and summer seemed endlessThe Eagles are that rare thing, a group not just for their time, but for all time. All I can add is a huge Thank you.

A stunning audiophile album!
The Eagles are one of the greatest bands of all time. The musicianship and song writing talent in the band is extraordinary. This album is mostly a live performance with a few "new" tracks (in 94!) thrown in. It's the live tracks that sparkle. The sound quality is sensational- equal to the original studio recordings if not better. One of THE best sound reproductions on CD I have in my collection. Compare this to the awful sound mix of the most recent 2020 Queen live album- this was recorded 26 years earlier! Every music lover should own a copy of this disc and any sound engineer considering recording a live band should be forced to study this disc in minute detail.

Hell freezes over
The recording we thought might not appear due to differences between group members mostly live tracks, proving the Eagles could still perform a decent concert, if you like this group, you probably already have this, still a good purchase for the casual fan.

Sit back and relax...
What a great comeback for the Eagles after their 14 year split. Includes a great selection of songs, from their first album, up until their 1979 album 'The Long Run', plus 4 new studio tracks, which are admirable, if not quite up to the standard of their 70s pieces. The live pieces expand upon their studio counterparts, with great vocal harmonies and an amazing acoustic cover of 'Hotel California'. The album flows well and is great value for the 15 brilliant tracks that are included. Great calming music, with well known pieces that everyone should know.

Enjoyably Slick Acoustic Eagles Collection
Very slick 'unplugged' style show from the Eagles for their first 'comeback' tour many moons ago now. Don Felder is still on lead guitar with Joe Walsh, and both are on cracking form as you'd expect. The song selection is a mini 'best of' but there are a handful on fairly good new songs as well to entice the Eagles completists. The harmonies are as smooth as ever and Don Henley's voice is truly a gift from above. It's not down and dirty rock'n'roll, but it is a selection of fine songs played immaculately by fabulous musicians and singers.

How Did I Overlook This Gem?
I was worried this was another collection of greatest hits, but being a keen Eagles listener took a chance. I was so pleased I did. It may not be to everybody's taste, but I loved the treatments some of the classics received. Staying true to the originals, but adding a different touch. As always for me Hotel California was the track, but I enjoyed the whole CD. I also now have the DVD, which is again very enjoyable . . . maybe I am easily pleased, but what you see is what you get. Great stuff.

Brilliant Quality
after hearing track # 6 demonstrated on a good friend's very good quality Hi-Fi system in a decicated music room, I decided to order this CD.I was not disappointed at all and was blown away by the quality of the recording as well as the audio performances! As this is a live recording, I am now trying to justify getting the DVD version to get that live concert reproduced in my own living room!
