I decided to opt for a mechanical caliper and glad I did. The few mechanical calipers available appeared to be of varying quality so decided to go for this one from a German supplier. This instrument is good quality build and appears accurate. It has no zero error and is very easy to read although only in metric. Comes in a nice box and does the job, accurate to within 0.02mm why bother with the complication of an electronic sensor, display and battery. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well made, nothing to go wrong. *by C***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 15 July 2018* I am so tired of electronic stuff which stops working after a couple of months. Vernier calipera take about 5 minutes to learn how to use properly and will never go wrong unless well treated.
