The Real-World Test I used these heavy-duty strips in my garage to tidy up steel hand tools and heavy magnetic parts. The pull strength completely surpassed expectations; it snaps steel items out of your hand from a couple of centimetres away and holds them rock-solid. The problem was during daily use: the magnetic bond between the strip and the tool is frequently stronger than the adhesive bond between the supplied double-sided tape and the wall. Wow a bit to powerful for the mounting job that I did, but they did the job, I had no problems separating the magnets, always place them away from each other when separated because they will crawl to each other and snap back together, I can understand the problem others are having with them and I snapped one fairly easily , They could do with being thicker for their length which would overcome this, having said that they worked well { to well } for me after recessing them into my project, 5 stars because they are as advertised , good old 3m d/sided strips will hold them to the space shuttle.

There is no doubting that these magnets are powerful! They have a very strong pull and can be difficult to separate. They are packed and dispatched inside a small polystyrene box which was inside a larger box along with the usual amazon brown paper infill, but nevertheless, 2 of the 10 magnets had already broken. A third magnet broke (my fault) when I put it down on the table and my small penknife (3 to 4cm) away was rapidly attracted to it which in turn caused the magnet to snap. There wasn't a lot of force but it just shows how brittle and fragile these bars are. Ive used 4 magnets on my project and I'll see how that goes. I'm not overly confident they will survive though. 3 stars is being generous at this stage, but I can't consider them to be good value because of the losses sustained so far.

Very strong magnets. Reasonable price. Used to put up spice racks on side of fridge in a small kitchen. Would recommend to family and friends

All four of these magnets snapped. The included adhesive is not fit for purpose as it does not actually stick to the item you want to stick the magnet to. Saying that, it's irrelevant how good the adhesive is when the magnets break anyway. DO NOT BUY
