3 Way switched surge protected 13A 3 gang adapter
I've never seen one of these and I love it. Neon indicators in each switch let you see at a glance what is switched on. Be sure not to load the adapter with more than 13 amps collectively, 3 phone/tablet chargers is fine but do NOT try plugging in a kettle, a dryer and a washing machine and running them all at once! To illustrate, years ago when I was a tv engineer, a friend asked me to look at his tv because the picture was small. When I got to his flat, it was perfectly normal, but he'd plugged his old valve tv into a 3 way adapter-along with his 3 bar 3kW o electric fire and a kettle to make tea during the adverts. They were not operating then, but as soon as the fire went on and the bars were switched on successively, the picture got progressively smaller until it became just 4" x 3". The connections in the adapter had become carbonised causing a high resistance on the contacts thus effectively reducing the mains voltage feeding the tv.I only mention this because I know that many people do not understand the relationship between voltage and current, you may plug in several items that draw very small current with no question of safety, but added up, the current drawn by all of the appliances sharing one 13A socket, must be less than 13Amps or there is a serious risk of fire. Check on each appliance the input voltage and current and as long as they are well below 13Amps it is safe. Prolonged use of high current appliances however, even if below 13Amps total, can carbonise the contacts inside the adapter causing a high resistance inside, and, invisible to you, will get progressively hot and may burst into flame while you are asleep with dreadful consequences. It's perfectly safe when used correctly for floor or table lamps, chargers, (genuine chargers not fakes), a tv, but not heaters or clothes dryers etc. This really is a great little tool, at a great price. Sorry about the lecture but I believe this information should be simply explained and issued with all adapters. There are far too many fires caused by incorrect use through lack of understanding. I'm just off to buy another adapter now.

Very useful
We for this as a second adapter. I plug my iPhone and iPad into one of those and this was purchased so that my husband can do the same. They are really useful because now we can keep our charges plugged in all the time and never lose them! The power can be switched off on the adapter without having to unplug the chargers.

Three Way Surge Protected Value
Shockingly good value, but in theory without the shocks! This is a useful item that you don't see the likes of in your local DIY Superstore ("Super"?) shops. Why? Because they only stock "popular items". This should be a popular item as it is very useful, has three individual and switchable (on/off) socket outlets and is Surge protected. All for £3.90.

Great purchase, for a quality switched mains socket at a WOW price.
I needed this type of switched socket for my Caravan which lacks sufficient mains sockets. These looked just what I wanted, at a great price and carried the necessary BS Certs, so I ordered 3. Arrived ahead of time and were very well packaged. When they arrived I was impressed by the quality build for just over £3 each. Tested them out, heavy, and all were functioning. Mains plugs need to be pushed into the sockets firmly which for me is good as they cannot be pulled out with a slight tug on the lead. Buttons were positive although the integral lights in them can dim accordingly if you turn them on from 1 to 2 to 3. But it is not an issue. They are also Surge Protected which is an added bonus. So all in all, for the money these Guys are very impressive. If I went down to my local electrical store and saw these for £15 each, which they are at a lesser quality, I would be happy to part with that money although only for 1 and not 3.

Think about the size of your plugs!
It works fine, and seems pretty well made, but check the size of the plugs you want to insert into it. I bought it to try and tidy up my phone chargers from one point, but nearly all of them extend upwards, which make them too big for this adapter. Ok for plugs without a transformer built in though.

Extra surge sockets
Want just the odd surge sockets without extra cable to move them about, then this is what you want if everything is close to each other. This is ideal for kitchen items or for computers and printers next to each other but importantly they save your equipment from blowing if there is a quick of on power break which will take your gear out.

Poor quality!
This item is of good and practical design. Unfortunately the quality does not match the design. Mine lasted less than a month before the middle switch stopped working.I would not buy again nor recommend this flimsy product.

Reliable
I've been using my two for years, still working fine. I can't comment how reliable the surge protection is though.
