Drano Max Build Up Remover Drain Clog Remover and Cleaner, Great for Clog Prevention, Commercial Line, 60 oz

This stuff really works....we have a constant slow shower, this will NOT clear a clogged drain, but it will help a slow one, just needs a few days to work....I ran out recently and within a month the water started getting up to my ankles...bought more, within 2 days it was draining good again.

I followed all the instructions to the letter, including waiting the full 6 hours before running water again. Unfortunately, the results were underwhelming.This product seems to require far more than the recommended amount to make any real difference, which makes it an expensive option if you're dealing with significant buildup or clogs. Even after using a full bottle, I still had to deal with backup issues. For tough clogs, I’d recommend going with Drano Max Gel or investing in a drain snake instead.Bottom line: This might work for minor maintenance, but it’s not the best choice for serious clogs, especially considering its price and the amount you’d need to use.

I was looking for a solution to clean out gunk for slowing pipes and prevent feature clogs and this product really works! I tried out lye in pvc piping for a few hours per instructions and didn’t do it all night as recommended for that product due to thermal melting concerns, it didn’t do much. I found this enzyme product and I did as instructions said for three nights in a row and the drain rate quickly improved. All the gunk isn’t all gone after such applications, but it does take time for enzymes to do their job. I am excited to see how the pipes look over the next year with monthly applications. I have some areas that are cast iron and was too worried to try out even slow working lye, so enzymes really become the only solution here without hiring someone for a hydro jet.This is effective for taking care of larger blockages and gunk (while you still have water flow) and it’ll take a while before it completely clears out the pipes.Since it’s the same types of bacteria used in septics, I feel great adding this in.

I purchased the Drano Max Build Up Remover Drain Clog Remover and Cleaner, 60 oz bottle. I had seriously bad clogs in both my shower/bath drain and my bathroom sink drain. My shower drain was so bad it would fill as if I was drawing a bath. I decided to buy the Draino brand because it has always been around forever and has a well known name. I live in an apartment so I can’t and absolutely won’t use that god awful sulphuric acid because it corrodes your pipes. I did follow all of the instructions, but unfortunately it took more than just one application to get these 2 clogs resolved. In fact for my sink and shower drain I used the entire bottles. Thankfully, I had purchased 2 bottles. The clogs were finally cleared thru completely in about 2-3 days. I guess I better think about putting this on a subscribe and save to use monthly so these clogs don’t continue to happen. I took one star away because using the 1-60 oz bottle did not fix the problem. This might not be the case for others, depending on the drain clog. Otherwise I recommend using this product.
