The carving fork is of good quality and sturdy. Not the usual flimsy quality that bends when in use. Wouldn't recommend putting in the dish washer to clean though.

Bought as a fathers day gift. My father was happy with it and i was happy with the price. The flick out safety protector is a great idea if you're dealing with tougher meats and the knife you're using slips, the prongs are sharp and the curve makes it easier to hold the folk at a more natural angle. Speaking of the handle it has a good solid, weighty feel! Two reasons for knocking a star off, firstly it can't be washed in the dishwasher (which i honestly don't understand as all our other stainless steel utensils can be) and secondly when the carving folk arrived the sharp end is inside a hardened plastic case for protective reasons (which is good) yet the handle end is exposed and in my case there was a very time scuff mark on the metal part of the handle which thankfully has buffed out. In my opinion they should package the whole thing in a protective box so the risk of scuffing is reduced. That aside i do RECOMMEND this carving folk to anyone thinking of buying it, it's certainly well made!

Anxious about my 88 year old mother beavering away with a carving knife every Sunday, I bought her this "traditional" carving fork with safety tang. She's thrilled with it! The fork itself is nicely constructed and the way the tines splay out means you can get great purchase on the meat being carved. Deploying the safety tang means any knife slippage won't end up with you adding bits of your own anatomy to the menu and when flat the fork takes up no more room than any other. So, in summary, a very nicely made tool that does an excellent job, whilst offering added protection. Recommended!

Great to find a carving fork with a guard, so useful for those larger roast joints. Feels robust and weighty to the touch, so no worries in holding firm or picking up larger joints

I was given my Dad's carving fork after we cleared out his house. I don't use it often but when I do, it's just perfect for the job and I feel very safe carving with the safety "prong" in place. So I bought this one for my daughter. The quality of this one is excellent - not sure if it will last 50 or more years, but I'll let you know!
