A winner!
My five year-old granddaughter went crazy over it, totally focused - very excited. I did have to help her and the tools were a bit weak. We ended up using a lot of water and a small real hammer. Just know that it makes a huge mess. I made the mistake of thinking we could do this indoors. But it was great fun. We only did one and there are two left to look forward to. The gems were very pretty.

Ended up being a great gift for my dad with Parkinsons
I had a smaller dig kit that my dad with Parkinson’s tried out. He loved it so I bought him this one. He said it was a lot of fun and he really enjoyed it. Even his hand tremors stopped off and on so he could work on it. It was the perfect gift for a former dentist with Parkinson’s.

Fun, scientific activity.
Great gift for a 7yr-old who likes rocks!! Breaking open the rocks to find the gemstones was fun. It makes a big mess so and once the rock dries it re-hardens. I would suggest doing it on a paper plate to just throw away. The gems inside are pretty and nicely polish. Good value for fun, scientific activity.

Perfect gift for a 7 yr.old boy
I gave this to my seven year-old grandson for his birthday. He had a blast breaking open the egg and retrieving the gemstones. He was so excited because there were so many. He said he got 15. He enjoyed looking up what they were and reading about them. This was a winner of a present.

Grandkids loved this - had a blast working to get the gems out - came with safety glasses and all the tools - made the kids feel authentic - it is a very messy project - would suggest to use outdoors - the activity took some time which is nice because the kids were engaged in it and got very excited everytime they found a gem
