feels very well made. nice and heavy, the lid sits on it perfectly and it’s sturdy. packaged and shipped very safely. i keep it on a marble tray i got from target along with my cooking oils and oxo pepper mill. i think its the perfect size for my purposes. if you use a lot of salt and cook for a big family you may need to refill it more often but this should be an appropriate size for most people. looks super nice in my kitchen and makes it very easy for those times you just need a pinch of salt :-)

The Onyx stone is lovely and a great little holder for my Maldon finishing salt. The quality is lovely, and it looks great on the table as well. Quality item and real addition to my kitchen/dining table.

It is a little smaller than I expected but a perfect size for protecting and grabbing a pinch of salt when I need it. Been dying for a place to keep my favorite salt which is flaky and would ruin it if I tried one of my many salt shakers. It's solid, and the look and feel and sound of the lid when I place it onto the cellar is satisfying marble on marble.

I’m not a marble fiend but I wanted something to keep my kosher coarse salt in that was heavy enough to not slide around when I’m nabbing some while I cook. This works well. I thought it might be too small but it’s been the perfect supply that I don’t have to refill that frequently. I keep it by the stove which I was afraid the humidity or heat would dry it out but I didn’t think about it being salt… And salt dries. So yes the salt I keep in it doesn’t get clumpy or sticky.
