Safety
Pet Corrector saved my dog and I from being attacked on a walk. I always carried it in my fanny pack for emergencies, but was never sure how well it would work. A dog got loose from it’s yard and charged my Labrador and I. I tried screaming and stomping to scare the dog away, but when it lunged to attack my dog, I sprayed it in the face with pet corrector. It scared the dog so badly that it ran straight back into its yard. Will never go anywhere without it again.

Amazed
We rescued what we were told and thought was a pom puppy, or a pom likely mixed with a slightly bigger dog. Well he has grown a lot in just a few weeks, no longer has such a teddy bear face or delicate build (at all) and the vet said "you put on the form he is a pom mix, he is not a pom, he is way more like a shiba inu." I have since watched many videos of shiba dogs and he is the spitting image of one! I have also read many articles. He shares more dna with the wolf than any other dog! Over and over I read that they are the hardest dogs to train, the most stubborn. OH EM GEE! I thought we were bringing home a pomeranian, instead we have brought home a flippin' WOLF. He was listening to nothing. Snapping at our ankles as we walked by. Biting (not puppy chewing) our hands if we tried to pet him, jumping at our arms and necks if we tried to sit beside him. It was stressful and making it really hard to bond with him. Redirecting with a chew toy didn't work at all, he wanted to chew us. Saying no and moving him away seemed to make him more determined. Spraying with water seemed to make him mad and snap more frantically. We had a trainer come to the house, maybe he just wasn't all that good at his job but he seemed at a bit of a loss. Very disheartening. I was beginning to understand why some dogs become outside dogs, although we would never do that to Lobo in the 500 f temps of Arizona. If there is one thing that made the fee for the trainer worth while (more than worthwhile) is that he suggested we buy this Pet Corrector. It is like MAGIC! It has not worked in the way I have read in some of these comments. We didn't have to spray it just once for an instant morph into an elderly golden retriever or anything. We do spray it a few times a day, but when we do Lobo immediately stops, and stays stopped for quite a while. Last night he sat on the sofa beside me calmly (for the first time) chewing his toy frog (after I sprayed him once for jumping at my hand, mouth wide open like a shark) allowing me to stroke his head and tell him he's a good boy (I lied, but he is getting there) what a relief. This might be one of the best things I have ever spent money on.

Not Easy To Use At All
This was horrible. The button was extremely difficult to press and the can would freeze up instantly causing even more difficulty in pressing the button. I was not able to use it with just one hand. Buying a can of air would be easier and less expensive and you get way more in a can of air for your money than this tiny thing. It did work on getting my dogs attention but it is not user friendly at all.

Highly Recommend! Like a Magic Wand!
I can’t say enough about this product. I was very skeptical; I’ve never had any luck with training aids EVER, until now, and I’ve raised 6 dogs, five from puppies. For those who don’t know, this is a noisemaker, nothing more, but it’s a brilliant one. It emits a very loud noise, and it startles your dog to attention. After that, he does not want to exhibit the bad behavior anymore. For some reason, no noise that you can make works as well as this one. I took a small can with me on a walk with my Teddy, a 5.5 lb. Chihuahua. He was incorrigible around people, dogs, and modes of transportation, and nothing I tried had ever worked. On that day, I purposely walked him through an area that I knew held almost all of his triggers. There were trucks, vans, golf carts, people, and two dogs who decided to come at him, barking rather aggressively (on leash, but very long ones). I had to use the spray four times, but in each case, Teddy never repeated the behavior that corresponded with that event. I was so amazed, that I brought the can over to my neighbor’s house, and we experimented on her very out-of-control Visla pup. He is much more sensitive to sound than my Teddy, and he’s something of a coward. He jumped on me, as expected, the moment I entered, (he’s very big), and I sprayed once. It scared him, and he ran to his daddy and just looked at me, all meek and mild. I put the can down and pet him, telling him he was a good boy. He never jumped on me again, the whole time I was there, and this pup was so bad with disobedience, that you literally couldn’t eat a meal around him, without him diving onto the table to get your food. He jumped on my husband, scratching his whole face, narrowly missing his eye, only because it was closed, thank God. The only thing I must try now is a car ride with Teddy, because car rides make him almost as mental as the Visla I just described. I will try updating this review, to let you know how that goes. My little Teddy is pictured below.

Good product just too small
This is a good product - especially if you have a new puppy that is a "yapper" and you are trying to get his/her attention to stop barking. It gets their attention pretty well. Interestingly enough, the can gets really cold when you squirt the air (yes, it is pressurized air inside that makes a hissing sound that gets their attention). It is similar to those air spray cans you clean your computer keyboard off with but makes a much greater hissing sound. The problem is, it is not a good value for the money. This can is smaller than it appears and barely lasted through many "air squirts". Good working product, but It needs to be priced at about half the cost. There is a bigger sized can by the same company at Petco, but it is also overpriced. Worth a try maybe once, but if you're really trying to get your dogs attention, go to Academy or a sporting goods store & get one of their little air horns. It gets a barking dog's attention a LOT more! LOL!

Works
It works perfect. My dogs were corrected with it and other dogs stayed away. But it lasted for only two days debating on whether it’s worth the price.

Great for distraction and behavior correction
My 1 1/2 year Golden Retriever is strong! He is such a good boy.... until he isn't. We recently moved to a new area which has beautiful walking trails, flat and lots of choices of routes. Many people walking with dogs on leash and off leash, kids on tricycles and scooters, and as I discovered last time, at least one red fox who isn't afraid of people. I had this with me, used it when the fox crossed our path out of the brush, my dog went to lunge, then stopped in his tracks with this noise. So did the fox! Later an off leash dog started running toward us, I don't know what the dog might have done but the Pet Corrector stopped him immediately. Gave me time to hustle out of there with my doggie. He does not like the sound- inside the house, he stops what he's doing as soon as we pick up the spray can. I have an empty can on the counter nearby for times he might be tempted to try to get food off the counter. It fits into my pocket well, must be pushed with strength to get the air out and I've never had it "go off" in a pocket.
