Finally—No More Dropouts on Stage!
As a performing musician who runs multiple wireless mics and in-ear systems, the Phenyx Pro PAS-225X has been a total game changer for my live setup! This unit delivers rock-solid signal distribution, clean reception, and zero dropouts—even in crowded RF environments. The active directional antennas make a huge difference, pulling in a strong, stable signal from across the stage with no interference or noise. Setup was a breeze. The rackmount unit feels solid and professional, with clear labeling and quality connectors. I love that it includes all the accessories you need—BNC cables, power supply, and antennas—so you’re ready to go right out of the box. The build quality is excellent, and the signal amplification is consistent and transparent, maintaining full frequency clarity across all channels. During live shows, I noticed zero lag and crystal-clear transmission for both vocals and instruments. It really tightened up my rig and cleaned up my wireless setup, reducing clutter while improving reliability. The Phenyx Pro PAS-225X performs like gear twice its price—dependable, clean, and perfect for musicians, DJs, and sound engineers who want a pro-level wireless system that just works.

Good lower cost solution
I have installed a couple of these now with very good success. They are inexpensive and work well for what they are doing.

Undeniable Value Proposition
We've had ours for about a year, and it's performed well. Ours is in a mobile rack unit and has been exposed to all seasons of weather, from below freezing to significant heat. So far no issues to speak of. Given the price you are paying, it's hard to argue with what Phenyx Pro is offering here. With that being said, there are three things I wish they would do for either a revision or future model. 1. For those that use these outdoors (like us), the antennas can get blown around quite a bit by wind. Many other manufacturers specifically make their antennas with cutouts to reduce the chance that the paddles turn into sails. 2. A power switch is, in my opinion, unnecessary on a unit like this and should be removed. All it does is increase the chance that the unit gets accidentally turned off. They should take a cue from Shure and just make the unit be on as long as it has mains power. 3. I love that the AC input is threaded for a locking connector. What I don't love is that it doesn't actually come with a locking AC adapter. Just include a locking power adapter. Again, for those of us that use these in mobile racks, it's an absolute must.

Great value and solved the problem
I was having some very irritating problem with interference to the wireless mics in our church. I've changed frequencies more times than I can count, but still kept having problems. This distribution system has helped a great deal. We have now gone three weeks without a single glitch. Other companies sell a similar product (for quite a lot more money), but I thought I'd take a chance with this. I'd used some of their wireless mics in another project and was pleasantly surprised at how well. they worked, and how well they were built. This has turned out to be a great investment. Some other reviews say the mounting hardware for the antennas is flimsy. Maybe so, and that might be a problem if you were setting them up and tearing them down every day, but this is a fixed installation and they are fine. It comes with all the cables you need to hook up five diversity microphones, which made setting it up very easy. Our mics are now clear of annoying noises and drop outs. Just what I was looking for.

Solid kit
Surprised at the cost for value with these units. Be ready to crimp or buy your own cables for shorter daisy chaining or running to the antennae’s, but overall a lot of decent gear for a solid price.

Works fabulous!
Wow. . . The stock Phenyx Pro PDU-7000 receiver unit wasn't in the greatest location, but I didn't expect the 225X to make this much difference! I went from having dropouts at the mid to back section of the room, to going out of the back of the room, down a 20 fr. hall into the far corner of that room - that's at least 100' away through at least 4 walls! I also went out the back of the main room leaving the doors open to foyer, then one of the main exit double doors open, out about 500 fr. and still working! I didn't even look at antenna gain let alone adjust it! Night and day difference. Highly recommend and I never write reviews. I still have to test with a room full of people - will do that tomorrow!

Just works - professional engineer review
So my background is almost 25 years of running professional sound. I’ve used and set up lots of wireless systems both cheap and expensive throughout the years. I generally avoid anything that mixes wireless and cheap. They always have issues. That said; I decided to give this system a shot for a medium sized (few hundred people) church I’m working on the sound for because they don’t have the budget for an RF venue system like what I’d typically roll with. Setup was straightforward. They always are. Nothing really new. The case it comes in is junk but it’ll work for transport if you are using it in a portable setup. The antenna cables aren’t as long as I needed so I bought a pair of 25’ rg8x off amazon to position the antennas where I wanted them. I hooked up both a pair of phenyx pros true diversity mics as well as sennheiser EW gen 4s to the distribution array, set the antennas for 3db (level 6) of gain and tested them out. They’ve now been used for 2 services without a single blip, dropout, channel switch, or any issues at all. I even tried to force one of the sennheiser mics to change channels by wrapping both hands around the transmitter on it and holding it horizontally (wireless signals from mics move in more of a disc shape than a sphere so being horizontal reduces the antennas ability to pick it up clean). Wasn’t able to get it to drop of have a problem. So all in all, I’d say yeah these are fantastic for the money. I plan to use a cascade station (second box hooked to the same antennas) and add another pair of the phenyx pro mics to the setup. We will see about long term durability, but that’s not likely an issue given it’s being installed in a permanent stationary place and not used on a mobile gig rack.
