An interesting take on the franchise that may require patience to appreciate fully
I was a bit apprehensive going into this title given that I read it was a visual novel with tactical RPG battles, but on playing I was pleasantly surprised to find it was very easy to get into and get invested in the story. There is a LOT of reading required and the battles offer little in the way of challenge or variety, but the game is definitely very satisfying from a story perspective throughout, offering as it does a darker take on the classic Digimon formula with some genuinely surprising twists. Would definitely recommend if you have even a passing interest in the Digimon franchise.
