These are perfect if you buy lampshades from a British company that may have a different configuration. It does come with a gasket that is too small for for standard lamp sockets. i was lucky that I had the Shade Frame Carrier from the Lamp Shade company. I was able to use the gasket from the taller carriers that I didn't need.
