How To Read Music: Easy-to-Use, Easy-to-Learn; Simple Musical Examples

This is a great book to help you read music. It takes you through stage by stage with clearly explained practice sessions. I found it particularly useful to learn the notes above and below the staff, which I had struggled with identifying previously. I am in my early seventies and took up learning to play the piano in recent months and would recommend this book to anyone just starting to play.

NICE BOOK ON HOW TO READ MUSIC

I bought this item for my daughter and she loves it and says it is easy to follow and has great practice pieces too. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn to read music at home.

I particularly like the number of exercises included for a student to work through.

Arrived quickly. It's an easy, clear read - making learning to read music a little easier!

Thick small book. Great for learning each hand separately but had it been produced as a4 size it could have been used on the music stand.

Have failed to read music although book helped, bit long in the tooth to take in. However, may try to persevere again. Would recommend using seller again.

Our kid will be starting piano lessons in a few months. We got her an electronic keyboard a year earlier (to see if her if she demonstrates a sustained interest in learning - piano lessons are not cheap). She has maintained her interest for over a year now and we got her this book. We found this book easy enough to understand (we have a zero background in music) and interpret to her so that she can play simple melodies on her electronic keyboard. The book explains how to read musical notes and gives fairly in detail explanations of many music-related terms (what is treble, clef, stave, pitch, etc.). We highly recommend this book for people who want their kid to learn music but themselves (like us) have no background in it.
