PlantronicsW720-M Biaural DECT Savi Headset

We've got three of these now (Mine, Wife's, Office). The second hand price is generally reasonable. I use it heavily. It's convenient to be able to switch between bluetooth, PC USB and desk phone. You've got to leave your mobile on your desk if you want to use bluetooth, which is a little odd, but you get used to it.Batteries are good for about 3-4 years, about £15 to replace. Generally looking at 5+ hours of battery life in "wideband mode", and it recharges pretty quickly during a teabreak. You can also swap with another headset if you have more than one in the house.You've got DECT running between the base station and the headset - it's good for range (far better than Bluetooth) and interference (ISM band, not 2.4ghz). It is, however, a very voice focused protocol. The Biaural version tends to do better with range, as you have an aerial on both sides of your head.The audio is VERY voice focused, it is very poorly suited to music. The voice quality is perfectly acceptable. it sounds a little different vs a high end mic, and a little clipped, but you're always understandable. You'll get better performance in wideband mode.Also handy is the ability to have multiple headsets on the same call, which is much less irritating if you're all in the same room on the same conversation - you don't head things echo 1 second later after it's been out to zoom and back.

4 star because you need an extra machine or cable to answer the call, but other than that they are amazing. Range is great we just tested and I been like 40 meters outside the building and quality was still great, battery lasted for 8 hours( I put them back to charge at lunch break for 1 hour) and I am the envy of the office now :)Great quality and very happy. Now I just need to figure what I meed to answer from the button and all setup.

Good functionality but the sound quality is poor.I listen to music sometimes at my desk and with these headphones my ears are burning after 15 mins.Sound quality like 8k MP3. So I switch back to my 10€ headset...

1. After 15 seconds the base seemed to power off2.The base station link switch did not work.3. The new headphone cushions just seem to fall off when I put them on or hung them (did not seem the correct size).4. No sound with any deviceTotal waste of time and effort.

Great product, one of the best headsets I used.

Excellent device, great battery life and connects with every communication device you might have on your desk.
