Solid, Compact Transformer + Great Warranty
Worked great for about 10 months, then it started shutting off randomly. I contacted Sunvie and they honored the warranty and sent me a free replacement. The customer service was top-notch! Aside from the random glitch, the transformer seems pretty solid.

Great Customer Service
I purchase this product 8 months ago and it worked perfectly but lately when I tried to change the time the Enter button didn't work sometime and the lights to indicate which program you were on was very difficult to see. I contacted the manufacturer Sunvie and they sent me a new transformer. I was very impressed with their customer service and I will continue to purchase their fine products. It was also a good value for the money.

Solid Transformer
This appears to be a well built transformer with several useful settings. After I installed it, my ongoing problems with my previous transformer disappeared. I was able to replace my old transformer in about an hour. Here are several suggestions to facilitate installation. 1) Program the unit in the garage or a dimly lit location before you install it into its permanent location. The unit "remembers" the settings even after it is unplugged. The LED lights tend to be faint making it difficult to program in the sunlight. 2) Use concrete or stucco screws if the transformer is being placed on a stucco wall. The anchoring screws that come with the transformer are not likely to hold well in stucco. 3) Use an alternative way of attaching the dusk/dawn sensor to the wall. The hardware that comes with the transformer is only adequate at best.

Can have two individual circuits
I had two areas of landscape lighting installed at different times and they were on two individual transformers. One transformer stopped working and I really wanted to "tidy" up the area, so as the replacement I purchased the Sunvie 300W transformer. Pros: 1-Now I have one transformer that runs both areas of lights. 2-It can be set to turn on/off at a specific time OR on by photo cell and off at a set time, or on at dusk and off at dawn. 3-Handles either 12V or 14V systems on each separate circuit. Mine is 12V, but some larger lights require 14V 4-You can purchase the replacement photo cell separately if you ever need to do so. This is unusual and very beneficial since you don't have to replace the entire unit if the photo cell stops working. 5-The "eye" is on the end of a length of cable. So you can mount the transformer inside the garage and drill a hole through to the outside and run the photo sensor out through the hole. This will keep the unit out of the weather, although it does say that it is waterproof. 5-It easily mounts on the wall via an included bracket. It is VERY heavy, so you can not mount it on sheetrock. 6-Simply connect the wires to the back of the unit, plug it in, program it and you're set to go. Nothing difficult about it. Cons: 1-The programming is not difficult, but you better keep the manual in a safe place for when you need to do it again. It is not very intuitive at all and you will certainly need the manual in the future! 5 month followup - unit is still working perfectly and reliably every single day.

Malfunctioning, flashing and didnt work after 1.5 years :(
These worked perfectly for 1.5 years and now are a total bust. The customer service team was unresponsive and did not help me problem solve and trouble shoot. If I were you, and you plan to live in your home for more than 2 years, dont purchase. Save up money, the deal will hurt you in the end. Sincerely bummed.

Excellent choice for anyone who wants to take their outdoor lighting to the next level.
One of the best things about this transformer is its ease of use. The timer and photocell sensor allow you to set your lighting to turn on and off automatically, based on the time of day or the amount of ambient light in the area. This means you can enjoy beautiful outdoor lighting without having to remember to turn it on and off manually every day. Another great feature of the SUNVIE 300W transformer is its versatility. It can support up to 300 watts of lighting, making it ideal for large outdoor spaces or for those who want to add multiple lights to their landscape. And with its compact size and easy installation, it's perfect for both professional landscapers and DIY enthusiasts. But perhaps the best thing about the SUNVIE 300W transformer is its durability and reliability. Made with high-quality materials and built to withstand the elements, this transformer is designed to last for years to come. Plus, with its 3-year warranty, you can have peace of mind knowing that you're investing in a product that is backed by the manufacturer. Overall, I highly recommend the SUNVIE 300W Low Voltage Transformer with Timer and Photocell Sensor for anyone who wants to enhance their outdoor lighting. It's easy to use, versatile, durable, and reliable - everything you need in a landscape lighting transformer.
