Review: Brilliant beginners minibeast book - Wonderful book. My 2.5 year old loves it. The illustrations are big, detailed and is a precise illustration of the real insect. There is a good amount of key insects in the book but not soo many that it's overwhelming. My toddler can handle the book himself easily and The pages are thick and durable- perfect for little explorers hands. Perfect size to take with you out and about. My toddler likes to talk about the insects and it quickly allowed him to recognise insects in the garden. He also likes looking up a bug in the book after we have seen one in real life. Just a right amount of key information is provided on each minibeast. Review: Excellent book giving details and clearvohotos. - I bought two of this range of books for a four and a two year old. I was delighted with them. The books are colourful and detailed. They ideal presents for children to identify wildlife generally.

My little boy developed a fear / fascination for all ...
My little boy developed a fear / fascination for all things winged and buzzy so I bought this in attempt to promote the fascination rather than the fear. He is really interested and we often pore over it together or try to identify any little beasties that we find. It features most of the insects and creepy crawlies you might find in your garden or out on a walk. It's illustrated by bright photography and has child friendly descriptions.

Bought for great nephew 5 plus
Bought for great nephew 5 plus. An ideal introduction to bug hunting, especially combined with the mini child's binoculars. Lavish illustrations, and easily understandable text, with material linked to National Curriculum. KS 1 but will last for a couple of years after. A Christmas present that will be used for a long time. Quick delivery

Super little book
I ordered this book for my grandchildren to help identify bugs and butterflies in their garden and on walks. The pages are made from strong wipe clean material and the images are clear and easily recognisable. My 22 month and 5 year old grandchildren love it.

Great for the kids!
This book has lovely pictures and explanations, and I like that the kids can "tick" their findings in the back of the book. However, the pastic bag used for the shipment did not protect the book enough from being bent on the corners.
