5MG L-5 MTHF by Intelligent Labs, L-5 Methylfolate Activated Folic Acid Supplement as Quatrefolic Acid, Activated Folate

I’ve been using 5-MTHF supplements for years, and this one from Intelligent Labs is excellent. The 5mg dose feels clean and effective — you can really tell it’s high quality. I notice better energy, focus, and overall balance. Definitely one of the best methylfolate supplements I’ve tried.

Only methylfolate I will use. May be a little overpriced but worth every penny in my opinion.

For someone who was very low in Folate in my blood and who was prescribed folic acid which is synthetic. I decided to look for a good active and more natural source of Folate. To say my health has improved significantly is an understatement. I’ll be taking this for life.

I originally gave 3 stars because these made me feel very unwell. I did email them initially and didn’t get much help. After my review, someone kindly messaged to check what issues I’d had. They kindly refunded me and have given some insight and advice. Also the offer of help to find products better suited. I believe them to be a helpful and trustworthy company. My initial response from them was not satisfactory for me, but they did make up for it. I wasn’t aware of the money back guarantee. It’s reassuring to know this is place should the product give any side effects. Luckily, what happened to me is rare. On the positive side, they clearly do work, for a short while I felt very well and energetic on them. I wish I could continue to take this product. It’s clearly very high quality and Intelligent labs do care about their customers. They have also offered me future help in choosing the right products to suit. Thank you.

Good quality and good company

Before I used Solgar methyl-folate and before that just folic acid. I switched to methyl-folate because folic acid itself increases risk of polyps and cancers, and I have polyps in my gallbladder. Also I have B-12 anemia and I used 5000mcg methycobalamin. When using it without methyl-folate, my temple was scaling off in 10 minutes after sublingual B12. Until I began taking 4 or 5 1000MCG methylfolate. So when I switch to this MTHF 5MG, no scaling off yet, so it must be working :) do I feel better when using it? Not sure, because I also switched B12 from methycobalamin to hydroxo+adenoscylcobalamin. But I still need B3(niacin), B6 and other B-group vitamins. I guess until my 23andme results arrives I will not know what I need to use for everything to be optimal. Never-the-less, this 5MG L active form of MTHF folate works and I like it :) so far no negative results. If any, I believe my lips does not feel as much negative effects for folate as in other folate cases. Highly recommend, good price for the quantity.

I don't leave reviews often, but this product significantly impacted me! If you benefit from high-dose 5-MTHF, this is a good amount (about 8mg) at a reasonable price in the most effective form of the chemical.

I consider myself a pretty healthy individual, no health conditions to speak of, I don't take any medications, I eat my veggies, I don't eat gluten, I go to the gym 3-5x a week. A year ago when I had some wellness labs done I found out that they were terrible! Dr said I was basically as healthy as someone who needed a liver transplant (his words) and he had no idea how I was able to function day to day. At the time I also found out that I had MTHFR mutation and dr rec this supplement to me to take along with other multivitamins. I just had repeat labs done and all of my levels are perfect now! I honestly don't know what these are supposed to do but I do feel great and i'll continue taking lol

This is just my first week on it and so far so good. I have not felt any unpleasant side effects, and my depression seems better. I am hoping to see more improvement over time, and will keep you posted. This is the highest potency for the lowest price and high quality. I would recommend this supplement to anyone who suffers from depression. Even those who are on antidepressants already, tell me that they feel better by adding this product to their daily regimen. Update: I have been taking this product for nearly 8 months and find that it has enhanced the effects of my SSRI's ability to enhance my mood and overall level of functioning. A friend of mine who is also on serotonin selective re-uptake inhibitors has also added methyl-folate supplementation and reports that she has experienced a stabilization effect on her mood. I will continue to take this product, which works for me and offers an impressive array of health benefits.

I just started taking this on the recommendation of my doctor after lab work showed a genetic problem. I like that this is a product without fillers and just the product listed, price also good.
