Great piece of kit
I am very happy with this item. I have digitised 25 sets of slides and aprox 1500 negatives. I am not a professional photographer, so my pictures are not the highest quality to start with, but I am pleased with the results. Its a pretty simple routine but obviously requires time. Working with windows 7 the software has performed perfectly, and is simple to use.

Some excellent results.
Looses picture definition in light areas. Trays liable to fall apart.

Didn't really work
It didn't work consistently on my W10 PC when pictures came up they were good quality but the process was so painful I sent the it back

decent little scanner....
Came quickly, so set it up on the lap top and had a play with it. Not a bad little unit, it takes up only a small amount of desk space, and is relatively easy to get going. Tried scanning some old neg from the 90's and it did a good job, but the colours needed tweaking, though nothing beyond the average P.C use. I've yet to try it on B&W negative (which I bought it for) but seems OK

Nice results, but let down by poor quality slide holder.
Not very well made - The slide holder arrived with both hinges damaged....... looks like this had been repacked after someone else had returned it. The picture conversion result though, I couldn't find fault with....... perfectly good. The slide holder was what let the unit down. It was very difficult to open, hence the previously-damaged hinges. If the manufacturer could get this bug corrected it would be perfect. I had to return it for a refund.

Very poor quality in my view.
Oh dear ..... well, very very poor quality. Mine lasted around 15 mins when it became clear that the neg tray hinge was broken. But that was just the start. The software is unstable and looks as though it belongs on Windows 3.1! The negs don't always line up, so some edges are missed and scan quality is really awful.

can be scanning in less than 5 mins..
can buy something similar for 10-15ยฃ during Lidl offer periods. But this does what it says and I could back up about 60 kodak positive slides from decades ago before they got damaged and we're lost forever, also produced lots of colour images from old 35mm negative ISO slides, so what price memories saved? Easy to use software easy set up.
