API AMMONIA TEST STRIPS Freshwater and Saltwater Aquarium Water Test Strips 25-Test Box

Bought these as well as the ammonia test kit. Didn't know which one I'd like best .both are good and very accurate.

I love these strips 🙂 Bought them for the first time from Amazon last week as I was fed up of racing down to my local pet store with water samples from my fish tank! They were really easy to use - was worried at first that it would be difficult but it's really not: just hold the strip in the tank water for the instructed time, wait for 60 seconds then compare the colour of the strip to the colour chart with the product. Not sure of accuracy but these are the exact same strips my local pet shop were using to test the tank water (I checked..) so if they're good enough for them, I figured they're good enough for me too 😉

Works but the colours don’t show up very clear on the pads. Better with a more expensive kit

Convenient, accurate as tested against API master liquid test kit and results are fast. Helps keep your fish healthy by monitoring and quickly checking ammonia levels. Although they are expensive and I would recommend a liquid test kit over these but good to have if in a rush and you don’t have time to get your master test kit out.

A most important test kit. Ammonia can kill aquarium fish in very small amounts. Have been using the kit for many years to monitor the levels in the water.

Use these all the time, the box contains a tube, very accurate and so quick, better than using the old style test kits. I did at first check them against the test kit but they were showing the same results.

AMMONIA TESTING STRIPS REVIEWThe material they use has this shine to it, making it hard to see, and the plastic covering both sides doesn’t help either.When I used it in my tank, it didn’t seem like it changed colour at all, but when I went to the pet shop they said my ammonia was too much..You’re better off buying a liquid test kit with clearer colour differences.I tested it with pure household ammonia and it turned blue so it’s not defective, just lacks accuracy and clearness

Seem to work fine. I can't say I've ever had a positive result with these tests strips but I don't think there is ammonia in my tank. The fish are alive so I assume there truly is no ammonia and they work

I aint sure it is measuring anything. Use is easy but i am not sure the band really interacts with the water in an efficient way. But the fishes are alive.

The ammonia test strips are affective and easy to use. The API ammonia test strips test for both NH3 and NH4. They come in a nice sturdy tube that seals well. Just don’t stick wet fingers in the tube you’ll mess up all your test strips. Just dip for 5 seconds then hold strip level and wait 60 seconds. I recommend using these along side with 5 in 1 API test strips :) very easy and definitely recommend!

Set up a new tank recently and used this to monitor the water cycle changes. And it did changed and show the water parameters changes as expected. It may not be 100 accurate but certainly good enough as indicator unless you need point blanc accuracy.

Very easy to use for a quick water quality test. May not be as accurate as a chemical test, but lets you find out immediately if there is a problem with your tank. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with multiple tanks such as I do.

Straight forward they work, just dip in tank water wait a minute read test strip against color chart on strip container.
