A: It is slightly longer than the ph8170, but all other dimensions are identical. I've hear of people using this as a substitute for the shorter ph8170 in v-twin briggs & stratton and kohler lawnmower engines.

**Q: does this have the crapy paper end caps inside?**
A: The fiber end caps are actually better that the metal. Because the two materials are similar the glue bonds them together vs the tearing from the metal

A: If your Tacoma is a SR5 ( 99% are ) the filter will fit. Fram site says yes and when I punched in your information on Amazon's Fram filter drop down for a 2021 Tacoma, 4 cyl.2.7L, SR5. it shows it does fit. Try and put your information in again and see. I'd say your good to go with the XG3614.
