Anyone know if this grinder is powerful enough to grind chicken and turkey bones? want to buy a grinder for meat and bones for my dogs raw food diet

I've had one since Dec 2011 for making cat food and it's still going strong. Not tried turkey, but plenty of chicken through it after chopping into pieces that fit in the chute, and not pushing too much through at once.

Is this grinder dishwasher proof

Hi James..no this isn't dishwasher proof. Obviously the base is electrical but the instructions clearly state not to put ANY parts into dishwasher. However I found just putting the washable parts straight into warm soapy water then rinsing under tap and drying off to be adequate. A bottle brush would take care of any stubborn bits even if left for a while before cleaning. I found during my research of mincers that most are aluminium coated and therefore not dishwasher safe, the only ones that were, were the plastic manual ones and they got pretty poor reviews. In the end I took the plunge thinking "if I've got the time to make mince, I've got 5 minutes to clean up afterwards ;)Hope this helps
