Razorri E1800-C Portable Vacuum Sealer with Starter Kit, Super Slim Body, Mini Vacuum Sealing System, Black.

My wife asked me to buy this mainly because of some recipes she has require boil in the bag. having had it for a week now we have realised it is an esential part of food prep and storrage. Its great for splitting down large packs of meat, veg and cheese etc. Its very easy to use and because it is very light it can be stored away easily. It comes with several bags and easy to follow instructions. We have bought extra bags and rolls so we can make our own bag size. The maximum bag width is 28cm which is more than enough for anything we need. My wife is getting a bit fedup with me at the moment, if it is not nailed down it is vacuum packed.

So far I've tried using this several times since I received it a week or two ago. First attempt was cheese and was letting air in each time - I thought it was a bit of cheese in the seal or even the bag but after several attempts with other things similar issues. Then tried steaks - let air in again Also it seemed to take several goes to vacuum properly - I have found you need to really press hard on the unit and it starts to extract the air which is awkward when you are 5ft with a high counter top! Tippy Toes needed. So after nearly climbing on the counter I found if I also seal the bag a couple of times and since then it seems to stay sealed - most critical if you are trying to Sous Vide it has to be air tight! I've had bigger units before and they work effortlessly and quickly so a little disappointed in this so far This doesn't seem to vacuum as well but its very small and easily fits in a draw instead of having a large unit cluttering the kitchen even more So I love the size of it - just need to get it to vacuum but finding if I press has hard as I can and seal twice it is ok - unless I'm the problem! It was very well priced but now I can see you do get what you pay for so more expensive units do work better

This automatic vacuum sealer is a really great product, I couldn't be happier with this handy little kitchen gadget! here's why I love this product - Easy to use: - Inexpensive, compared to other bulkier food sealers and big brands; - Slim and easy to store, compared to bigger models: - Comes with 5 freebie starter bags, which are good for practising; This is one of those products that is super-handy and simply made. It does one thing, which is to seal solid foods in durable bags. Overall, I love to use this little thing! It's fun, and it works well once you get the hang of it. I'm a first-time vacuum sealer, and this is a good starter machine.

I have only used it for wet ingredients such as curry at the moment but will be interested to see how much air it sucks out when sealing solid ingredients. It is quite difficult to fill the bags so I have improvised and cut off the bottom of a plastic measuring jug and I fit the bag around this to fill, acting as a funnel. It is small and neat so not difficult to find a place for it to live. I shall be making many more batches of dinners to freeze as well as freezing leftovers.

I absolutely love this! I just received it today and can't stop sealing and vacuuming all my food! I bought this so i could marinade my own meats and pop them in the fridge or freezer. Also for a non messy way of storing meat once i'v been to the farmer market. After going sealing and vacuuming crazy, i have found it extremely useful at organising my fridge and my cupboards. Plus extending the use by date of opened packets! The machine it's self look modern and is quite slim, so doesn't take up room on the worktop or in the cupboard. And works like a dream and is extremely simple to use.

I spent ages researching vacuum sealers from various manufacturers, which is a bit of a minefield tbh. They all have a relatively simple task to perform so, depending on which extra bells & whistles you may or may not require, a unique selling point is a tough one to accomplish. The Razorri, however, caught my eye due to its compactness and portability which was at the top of my priority list when researching. This thing is great as I can fit it into a kitchen drawer, so it's one less kitchen gadget to have out on display. The vacuum strength isn't going to suck the life out of you with such a small form factor, obviously, but I actually prefer this as all food stuffs still get treated with respect when sealing, which can be important for less robust proteins or vegetables. Highly recommended and a perfect accessory for sous-vide.

Crap...just spend my money for nothing!..Very bad quality

I bought a vacuum sealer because of problems keeping loose cheeses fresh between monthly farmer's markets, and chose the Razorri because of its compact size and the many favourable reviews. My first attempt, using one of the supplied bags, succeeded without problems. Using a bag cut from a roll was more tricky and it took 3 attempts to get it right. This is not a weakness in the sealer, but the difficulty of cutting a straight line over the full width of the roll. With practice this has become easier. Vacuum sealing occurs quicker and smoother than I expected and I have had no problems with poor and leaky seals. I do not own a freezer, but use a good freezer compartment inside a refrigerator. This means that I have to pay a lot of attention to storage space and stock control. The Razorri sealer will help with both problems. In summary a very worthwhile purchase.
